Britney's POV

This boy is crazy. He's the first person I have ever met that is not afraid of me. I mean do he know who my father is. He don't know what power I have.

As I stayed there looking at his face as he rambled on about the picnic he wanted us to go to.

"Can't sorry" I said and then began to walk away.

"Yes you are" he said pulling me back to him.

Before I knew it, I was in his car and he was driving us away. Far away from Oscar's house.

"Where are we going" I said looking at him.

"Didn't you hear, I just stood there for like 10 minutes explaining this to you" he said to me.

"Oh, Right"

We arrived at the park five minutes later. I looked in the back of the car but saw no food.

"Where is the food" I asked him.

He smiled his heart full smile at me and I melted. "It's a surprise" he said.

Damn, this boy is fine.

Chase's POV

Today was the last day the police gave us to search the town. All hope was gone to me. As it had been a month since Ashley was gone.

But somewhere I knew that Ashley was alive but I just didn't know where. I looked everywhere. The police just wouldn't let us search people's houses. Bummers.

We were looking when we saw the police car came behind us. This hispanic cop came up to me and said "Can you please described the girl you're looking for"

I swallowed the lump in my chest before I started describing her.

"... and she has the greenest eyes..." I said but he interrupted me.

"Well sir, we found 7 girls that were well found. Do you want to look to see if she's one of them.

A profound joy builted up in my chest as I looked at the cop's face. I looked at Oscar and his face had the same expression.

I was so happy that I didn't realize that I haven't given him an answer yet. "Well" he said.

"O. yes, yes I do." The cop walked away but I stood there unable to follow him.

"Are you going" Oscar said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh. Yeah"

The ride to the police station was quiet. I was too happy and couldn't stop smiling.  Maybe my life is not worthless. Maybe I can make life right for Ashley again. 

We arrived at the station in less than 15 minutes. I got out the car a happy man.

We walked through 15 rooms before the cop stopped before a blue door. He opened them and there was like he said 7 girls.

I looked through them but then I got sad. "Officer these girls got to be 12 or 13. Ashley is almost 22"

The officer look at me "well you could have said her age" he said looking at me. "So she's not one of these" "No" I said. He closed the door and walked me outside.
