Laughter always played her face
And while she was joking around with her friends
(with him less than ten steps away)
he just watched;
After a while her laugh tired down
with the realization
that they were so close
and yet,
so far apart.
She could still feel his longing stare
and he felt hers;
As both (of their stares) were going out of their usual track,
just to meet each other.
But they did nothing except that,
and the thought that it was all so simple
and so impossible at the same time
was so ridiculous
that she felt like that was the scene of a movie;
Too intricate to be real.
But then again,
that's how her life has always been.
