But people don't hate people for nothing;
So maybe she's just human too
and maybe she sees
the way he looks at you
and maybe she envies you
The way you never were bothered by the opinions of others
The way you always stayed true to yourself
even if it meant
being shy and anxious
for such things
there's needed a special kind of strength;
And even if she always got
what you wanted
She never got
what everybody needs.
