I thought I knew you? (Prologue)

I thought I knew you. What did I know?

"What do you want from me?!"

The cold words hit her ears, causing the hair on the back of her neck to raise.

"Nothing! Not anymore.."

She froze in the doorway, hearing it pained her.

"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

She really didn't know, it just sounded good. Well, maybe it did mean something.

"I used to want something."

She now knew what was coming. She licked her lips to distract herself from the tears threatening to fall.

"Oh yeah? What did you want, Ally?"

She chuckled as one tear fell from her eye.

"You."

Cashel chuckled, her heart breaking was obvious in her voice.

"And what is it that you want now?"

Ally opened the door and motioned for her to leave.

"Nothing more than this."

Cashel left as Ally slammed the door and collapsed to the floor by the door.

Love has a nasty habit of disappearing over night
