-*Ally*-

I woke up, slowly, taking my time to adjust to the rays of light coming in through the strange window.

Touring was always weird that way.

Waking up in a foreign room to foreign food in a foreign country.

There was something so appealing about it at the same time, though. Knowing your songs, songs you spent months on, are being enjoyed, loved even. Hearing fans scream, sometimes just your name, is a feeling like no other.

Seeing the "behind the scenes", is one thing; Being the behind the scenes is such a different thing entirely.

I sat up, my head pounding ever so slightly. I ignored it, it was probably just a mix of the loud music and light drinking from the night before at the concert.

Remembering last night's concert, I stood up and made my way out into the hallway, not wanting to go far because I was in pajamas and who knows when a fan will sneak up on you.

I looked back into my hotel room, seeing the queen sized bed in the middle of the room, the mini fridge, and the small personal bathroom. It was nothing great or extreme, but we did have to pay for 3 different rooms so who can blame us?

My guitar lay flat on my bed with my open notebook and pen next to it. I looked back into the hallway and closed my door quietly, sneaking into Cashel's room next door.

I opened it perfectly silently, and immediately saw she was sleeping. Careful not to wake her, I closed the door and decided to grab my guitar.

I opened my door and chose to first get changed, which I did very quickly.

Then I snatched up my guitar in hopes that Cashel hadn't awoken.

I smiled when I made it to her room to hear her gentle snoring. I sat in the fold out chair in the corner.

Gently, I strummed a pleasant melody. A short combination of chords that made a sweet tune, almost angelic.

I saw Cashel's eyes flutter slowly open with a smile appearing on her face.

"Good morning to you too," She muttered.

I chuckled glancing downward and then locking eyes with her.

I subconsciously bit my lip, but soon caught myself.

"I wrote a song last night," I tried to change the subject.

-*Cashel*-

God, it kills me when Ally does that. The quick glance downwards, our eyes meet, she bites her lip, she's just too perfect.

"I wrote a song last night," She spoke softly, almost a whisper, yet there was a rugged aspect to her voice.

"Oh yeah? What about?"

"Nothing in particular. You know how it goes sometimes," She chuckled.

I noticed a switch in the chord pattern, it was more upbeat yet it had underlying almost angry vibes to it. Whenever Ally shows me a song that I can't quite classify its genre, that's when we know it's a good song.

"I love it already," I smiled.

I soon noticed that she was completely dressed, which sent me into a bit of a panic. I sat up and swung my legs over the edge of my bed, trying to get my eyes to focus on the alarm clock I had brought with me.

"God, Ally! How long have you been up?"

"Not too long, less than an hour. Why, are we missing something?"

"It's 6 in the morning, why are you waking me up?"

She chuckled, "Just get up. We have a press conference at noon."

"I have 6 hours!" I laughed.

She shot me a glare, "breakfast, album prep, finishing the song I wrote, lunch, and maybe a thirty-minute break before the conference."

She must've seen the 'I was joking' look on my face because her expression lightened and she chuckled gently, "just get up."

She grabbed her guitar and bit her pick between her teeth, which drove me crazy. I felt my face get hot, but I tried not to show it.

"Y-Yeah, of course, Ally."

She started to close the door.

"Wait!"

I just wanted to see her face again in all honesty, but seeing the puzzled face she gave me when she turned around, careful not to hit her guitar on the door made me feel guilty.

"H-Have you woke Ladaysha up yet?"

I thanked my brain for the wonderful excuse.

"Not yet. You can join me if you can get ready in less than half an hour."

"Give me 15."

Ally smiled and closed the door.

-*Ladaysha*-

My door opened quietly, two people tiptoeing in. I recognized those idiots immediately. Ally was turned around shushing Cashel, to which, once Cashel turned the corner and saw me awake, she burst into uncontrollable laughter.

Ally immediately realized what had happened, and her shoulders fell in defeat when she turned around and saw me.

"God dammit," Ally sighed.

"Were you guys trying to scare me?" I tried to mask the slight hurt in my voice.

Obviously, I did a bad job because Ally's face flushed with guilt. Cashel, still too busy laughing didn't seem to notice.

"Not scare you. I was going to play a quiet little guitar song. No big deal," Ally tried to play off her hurt.

I don't know if I'd ever seen Ally look this guilty, emotion wasn't her thing unless it was anger, especially at someone who had done Cashel or I any harm.

Something got her vulnerable.

I wonder what it could have been.

"It's okay, y'know? It would've been pretty funny anyways," I said genuinely and sincerely.

"Yeah, I guess so," she chuckled.

Cashel finally got over her laughter,

"You ready to get breakfast?"
