moving on up ( smytheberry)

milking it

its 6.30am thursday morning and rachel and seb are b8th up waiting for a delivery not just any delivery but a cow and a goat. the farm they run is small its more a large shed of a bsrn and several large vegetable plots. it not easy work but its doable by one man. the owner of the farm was more bothered about keeping the land from becoming unworkable than profitable. the van arrived and seb and ths driver ushered the cow into the barn then seb tuck the goat in too. rachel fed the chickens nd collected the eggs while seb settled the animsls in. rachel went inside to make breakfast. she wasnt hungry so she made seb an omlette with their eggs. seb came in briefly to eat amd was back out again to work. rachel was meeting santana for a coffee at the cafe at 10am she went up to shower and dress. when the time came shw made seb as flask of juice and some sandwiches for his lunch and headed off to meet santana.

rachel walked into the cafe and spotted her sister and headed to her.

" hi" she said sitting down

" hello sis" santana said chirply

" so how are you feeling today" rach asked

" im okay alittle sick feeling now and again but in happy about it. how are you" santana asked

" im fine the farm is coming on well he is a good worker" rachel said feeling proud of seb

" hunter is doing well. i have been mea ning to ask you now we are all martied and the way of life here been different i was wondering if you know you and seb were thinking about having a family" santana asked

" well seb wants one im coming round to the idea and to be honest we havent been carefull since the wedding so its safe to say we are trying" rachel said

" oh wow rach just think if you get preggers soon our kuds will be like us so close in age" santana said

" hello there" said the vouce of quinn

" hello you" rachel said giving santana a look which told her it was quinn that she had heared about

" so your friends then" she said to santana

" sisters actaully" santana said coolly

" oh really and are you married" quinn askec

" yes i am" santana said

" so two sisters your hubby aint sebastians brother is he" quinn said grinning at rachel

" no he is his best friend though" santana said

" is he as hot as seb" quinn said

" i think he is though i think they are both quite hunky if i am been honest rach and i wouldnt date or marry ugly men would we rach" santana said

" no we wouldnt" rachel said

" so have you got a guy" santana askec quinn

" no but i have my heart set on one" she replied looking at rachel.

"anyway we were infact having a private conversation so go away" santana said and quinn flounced off

" you werent wrong about her" santana said.

the girls finished their coffees and head out of the cafe and headed to get so e stuff from the butchers. they bith got some meat and sausages and as thry were leaving hunter went oadt innthe car and pulled up.

" hey girls need a ride " hunter said getting out to help them with their stuff.

" oh he is cute thought not as cute as my seb" quinn said the girls hadnt seen her

" im guessing this is the bitch you spoke of" hunter said making the girls laugh

" her seb like he would touch you" hunter said laughing as they headed off home.

rachel cooked for the four of them that night she made an english dish called shepherds pie they spent the night chatting and then santana's phone rang

" its mum" sanrana said they all stopped talking to look at her.

" wonder what she wants" rachel said

" i will answer it" santana said

santana: hello

shelby: where are you

santana: im home

shelby: dont be silly this is your home

santana: my home is where my loved ones are hunter is here rachel is here sebastian is here.

shelby: where are you

sntana: why do you care

shelby: your my daughter

santana: yes your pregnant daughter who you kicked out and then theres rach she did notning wrong you kicked her out aswell

shelby: look i was angry come home

santana: no we have a life here now

shelby: then let us come see you

santana: us?

shelby: jake and i

santana: we hate jake and the two of you ae why we lwft why would we want to see you

shelby: put rachel on

" she wantz to talk to you" santana said rachel took the phone seb held her hand

rach: hello

shelby: come home

rach: no we have a home here we made our home here we are safe here

shelby: how can you be safe two young girks with no one to look out of them

rach: seb and hunter are here

shelby: and what makes you think teo teenage boys will want to have to look after you

rach: because they lovw us as we love them

shelby: its hardly a commitment though is it

rach: actaully it is you sed we got married

shelby: WHAT

rach: seb and i and santana and hunter had a joint wedding

shelby: but why

rach: because like i said we are in love and they are goid guys not drunks or druggies or pervs

shelby: so your jot coming home well fine be like that but i was giving you two a chance and you have blown it now if you fail or split up from your good guys then dont bother coming back here jake and i dont need this stress.

rach: goodbye

rachel hung up the four of them just sat their speechless

" well that was i terssting wasnt it" hunter said trying to lighten the mood

" it proves we made the right chouce to come here and leave that place notjing as changed there has it " seb said as he hugged rachel.

" im gonna name our cow after her" sanrana said

"im naming ours quinn" rachel said and they were all back laughing
