Stiles bounced from his couch, grinning. To day was the day he'd been waiting for all his life.

The day all submissive's have been waiting for.

He could feel it in his bones. Today-

"Son, what have I told you about this?" His father sighed, looking up at him. But like all submissive's didn't shout or yell. Just a soft disappointed tone.

Stiles winced a little at that. His eyes glaring their omega gold as he stilled and said sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck "Alpha's don't like hyperactive behaviour and I should stop?"

"Close enough" His father sighed. He knew sometimes Stiles couldn't help it. He was ADHD after all but he could afford any embarrassments, especially today...

Or his son would never find a alpha.

That couldn't happen. Single omega's were shameful.  His son had his last chance today. He blow it the other ceremony.

"Mum found you at the second ceremony too" Stiles said eagerly.

"I didn't find a alpha at my first because there were not  enough alpha's at my first ceremony. You couldn't keep your mouth shut and none of them wanted you" His father pointed out. His eyes glowed blue as he told Stiles of. He was a submissive Beta.

His wife before her illness had been an alpha. He only was able to keep his job because everyone understood that he has bonded with a dominant, an alpha no less before she had died.

But some still said behind his back a single submissive should not be holding down a job, to much strain on him. He should be out trying to find another dominant to bond with but Stiles knew his father still had not got over his mother and wouldn't any time soon.

So he had to get Stiles bonded. Their family name was at stake. He could at least hold up his job if he was doing his job as parent right and getting Stiles a dominant. People would look down on him less then, especially if Stiles was chosen by a Alpha.

John Stilinski could only hope that would happen. If his son bonded with an alpha and the alpha approved of his job as a deputy he'd be able to stay at his job for sure.

Stiles backed up a little, looking away in submission to the beta. They were both submissive but beta's no mater if they were dominant or submissive still were higher up than omega's and had authority over him.

"I was trying to be nice" Stiles grumbled, looking down.

"Try to be silent this time. Alpha's like silent submissive's" His father told his wisely.

Stiles nodded, that was true.

But silence wasn't exactly what he was best at.

"What is a dominant Beta wants me?" He worried, for his fathers sake. Only a alpha's rank could help out and have a say in his fathers keeping his job.

Stiles often joked his father would be the better Sheriff but that was fantasy. A submissive could never get a high ranking job like that, it would be to stressful and hard for them.

"Don't you worry. We'll make do. But remember what I told you and you have a more of a chance that a alpha will pick you. Do you remember?" The Sheriff asked.

Stiles sighed, rolling his eyes, of course he remembered and he rattled it of by heart "Don't move and if you have to do it with control and slowness. Don't look the dominants in the eyes unless they look straight at me. Remember to take their hand if they offer it to you. And bow when they come in, don't kirsty, only females do that. Stand up only when I'm told. Don't fidget and only talk when I'm spoken to directly"

His father raised his eyebrows at him "Especially remember the last one. You forgot it last time it seemed"

Stiles cringed again but shrugged sheepishly.

He had everything ready. The ceremony was after school. His father couldn't be there.

"Good luck son" His father said, then he kissed him on the cheek. Smiling warmly at him.

"Don't worry dad, It'll be okay" Stiles said, with a gentle hug and comforting pat on his father's shoulders he picked up his bag and he was ready to go.

Which ever Alpha chose him and bonded with him they'd be together for the rest of their lives.

Stiles just hoped he didn't screw it up.
