I woke up the next morning in an unfamiliar room. I wasn't sure where I was for a good 30 seconds until I looked beside me and saw a brunette boy beside me.
He was very much asleep and for once, he didn't have such a hard look on his face. He actually looked calm.
I decided that it wasn't too smart to be here and that I should find Carmen and or TJ.
I slid out of bed and looked for wherever I kicked my shoes last night. As I was looking, Taylor started to shift in his sleep.
I sort of started to panic considering he doesn't like me and he probably didn't remember me being here because he was high.
"Chase?" He asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"Uhh yeah. I- I was just looking for my sh-"
"Your shoes? I put them in my closet," he cut me off. He voice was so raspy and deep. I liked it.
"Why?" I asked, going to his closet. He sat up slightly and rested on his elbows.
"Seriously?" He smiled. I nodded. "Last night I got up to go to the bathroom. You were all silly and stuff and threw your shoes at me so I just tossed them in the closet," he told me.
"Oh," I blushed slightly. "So, sorry for falling asleep...in your bed."
"It's fine. I figured it would happen anyway," he shrugged.
"And you didn't kick me out?" I asked, pretty shocked.
"Not gonna lie. I only let you stay in here because I was bored."
"That's it? Just bored? Nothing else?" I asked hopefully. I wanted him to want me to stay for reasons like he thought I was pretty or maybe I'm a better person than he thought. Not just because of boredom.
"Was there suppose to be another reason?" He raised his eyebrow in confusion.
"No. Um. I'm gonna go. Thanks for letting me sleep here," I smiled.
"Ok. Close the door behind you."
I don't know why I wanted him to like me all of a sudden. Maybe because I actually had fun with him last night.
He's better when he's high and not all rude to me. I may be sarcastic but I'm not a bad kid and for him to think badly of me hurt. And on top of that, my mom thinks I'm no good in her drunken state, which is always how she is.
Anyways, I made my way downstairs to find Carmen or TJ. Once I got to the main floor, it was a mess.
People laying on the floor, passed out, it smelled like very strong alcohol and stinky people, the front door was left open along with the back door and so much other stuff.
I scanned the floor for Carmen but didn't see her. I tiptoed through the people on the floor and made my way to the back yard.
That's where I found TJ sprawled on the couch with Carmen cuddled into his side. Why the couch was outside, I do not know.
"Hey," I tried shaking TJ but he didn't move. Carmen, on the other hand, shifted a little.
