Chapter 5

*ANNA'S POV*

" We are now landing to Dallas, Texas!" The flight attendant said

Gabby shook me and woke me up, I don't remember falling asleep during the whole plane flight, maybe I was tired, I don't know right now.

We got off the plane, and went to go to the baggage claim to get our bags. I called an Uber to pick us up, so we can go check into a hotel close to the venue. We waited about 10-15 minutes until I got a call from a number. I didn't know who it was, and I was nervous.

"Gabby?"

"Yeah Ann?"

"I don't know this number, here answer it."

I handed her the phone and she hit accept on my phone. I didn't know who was talking to her, but she put her hand on the speaker phone...

"It's Cody" she whispers

My heart was racing like horses on a race track, I was so nervous I don't know how to react. She keeps handing me the phone but I refuse to talk to him. Not because I didn't want to talk to him, but I was too too nervous to even say hello.

I kept cutting her off and whispered her to hang up. She did and I already had a headache.

"Why did you do that?"

"Do what Gabs?"

"You cutted me off, how come you don't wanna talk to him?"

"I'm just nervous, okay? Can we just ignore and wait for our Uber." I said nervously

She nodded and we both looked out for our Uber driver.

15 minutes later our drive came, and we hopped into the car. He had water and snacks in the car. I grabbed a water bottle and I chugged and chugged.

"Slow down cowgirl!" Gabby said

I didn't listen to her, I kept chugging down the water. Our driver ignore what was going on and drove to our hotel.

Cody ran through my thoughts again and now that I think about it, I felt so bad not talking to him. But I was just too too too nervous to even say hello. But how did he get my number, what made him want to talk to me?
