With a smile fully appearing on my face, I grabbed my robe from beside me making my way into the bathroom for a hot bubble bath. If there was one thing I was sure about, is that August can put it down. I'm in so much pain you'd think that dance practice was just simple and plain.

"Hello" I answered my ringing phone

"How's my baby doing?"

"I'm fine, just relaxing"

"Naked I hope"

"Yeah"

"Don't play wit me woman"

"I'm in the tub, Aug" I laughed

"So that means you naked and wet"

"Yes August"

"Think I'm gon cancel my plans and just come back"

"It'd be a waste of time. After last night you are not touching me again for at least another month. Maybe two"

"That's cause ya boy laid it down" he said his fine southern accent that made me want to melt.

"Anyway, what are you planning anyway?"

"You would like ta know, but I ain't telling you"

"Of course you're not"

"Aye, I gotta go but be ready at 7"

"Yes dad"

"Glad you know"

"Haha, bye" I hung up

"August did you hear me?"

"Huh?"

"What's wrong with you?"

"Nothin, I'm good. Just thinkin"

"What about?"

"Not important right na, finish telling me your story"

I continued and saw that he was listening intently at first, but then he drifted back off into his regular stage of ignoring me.

"Aug, really. What is going on?"

"Not-"

"Don't keep telling me it's nothing when it's in fact something"

Watching his movement, he began moving around in his chair and his hands were shaking terribly. I didn't know if I should be scared or to call an ambulance

"I got a call from a producer" I nodded waiting for him to continue "They heard some of my music and they wanna sign me to their label"

"That's it?"

"Baby that's great!" I jumped up ready to hug him, but was stopped

"Not really, there's mo"

"What?"

"They wanna fly me out to L.A right after graduation"

Graduation is tomorrow...

"So that means that we won't-"

"We won't be going ta college togetha"

"Wait, how long have you known about this?"

"That ain't imp-"

"How long, August!"

".......A few months"

I could feel a huge lump forming in my throat as tears began to fall from my eyes. I couldn't believe that he kept this away from me for so long. I honestly didn't know what to do, or what to say"

Getting up from the table, I grabbed my bag and walked away. I couldn't face him right now and I wanted to go home. While packing my bag, I noticed he entered the room but even then I didn't stop what I was doing.

"So that's it, you're just leaving?"

"You are too" I said zipping up my bag and heading to the door. Opening the door, I stood there not wanting to turn around because I knew if I did, I would want to stay. "Congratulations. Have fun in LA" I said closing the door behind me

Once I reached home, I walked up to my room and didn't bother undressing. I sat on my bed and continued to cry. Hearing a knock on my door, I didn't even answer. Walking in, I noticed my parents with confused looks on their faces

"What's wrong princess?" Daddy asked. I still gave no answer. I just cried in his arms while mama rubbed my back

I couldn't believe this, he was just up and leaving me.
