I was having a terrible morning. I had somehow gotten fired from the only job I had and now was jobless.
"You've got to be kidding me.", I murmured to myself.
I walked to a nearby diner and bought a small breakfast, bacon and eggs.
As I was eating, I looked up to the screen and saw the news.
"Recently, the Avengers saved us from an alien attack started by Loki Laufeyson.", the announcer said," But looking back at the tapes, we see a mutant killing off the aliens. Is she a friendly? Or a threat?"
oh shit, now I have to go into hiding before I turn into a dancing monkey or a lab rat. Ughhhh, this is what I deserve for being sloppy and not looking for cameras. Can't people be grateful and not that curious for once? Ughh.. Now I'll need to make a new identity and everything, a new-w t-town.
I couldn't take new places, people become suspicious and they'll call shield or the police.
I threw a $10 bill on the table and walked out of the diner.
I was walked down the street torward my apartment, then walked inside and packed money and clothes into my duffle bag.
After that, I changed into clothes that would help me blend in, clothes that hurt my wings but I couldn't take the risk of being discovered. Clothes that constricted almost any movement nessacary.
It was better than spandex, you should see what the avengers wear.
Hell to the no was I wearing that, it made people look and the last thing I wanted right now was attention.
I ran out of my apartment, finally done and painfully walked torwards the bus.
All of a sudden, I was hit by a circular object.
"Sorry ma'am, but we have orders to detain you and bring you to base.", said a man who looked like a walking flag.
"Sorry Uncle Sam," I said," but you and what army? Because there's no way I'm following you to your base."
I punched him in the chest as a heated fight began.
All of a sudden, I was caught off guard and thrown to the ground and I saw a golden and red robot next to the flag-man.
"Stay down kid.", the robot said.
"No way, tin can.", I responded and leapt up and continued fighting Spangles until I felt a searing pain in my back and saw a tranquilizer arrow lodged in my shoulder blade.
"Sorry, kid." I heard someone say as I blacked out.
