Arianna Moore sat in her room with a tear rolling down her face. It was all her fault. Nothing this bad had ever happened until now, they had a 'perfect family' once and she had ruined it. She had been flying outside and had been spotted by a man in a suit and tie. The man had seemed very interested in her, taking his cell phone out, and about to take a video or a picture of her. She had flew away before anyone else had seen her, of course, but she was afraid that he had gotten a good video or a picture. Her parents had always told her to hide her beloved wings, unless she was at home and she made sure no one was there. She had no idea at all why in the world she was hiding from the world, but she was often good and followed that singular rule. Until today. When she had told her father, she actually thought he was going to explode. His face turned red. "ARIANNA ROSE MOORE, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?!" Arianna, being only 8 then, did not know how cruel the world was yet. Not yet. "ARIANNA, YOU HAVE JUST ENDANGERED OUR STATUS IN LIFE! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CAN HURT OUR LIVES?! IF THE GOVERNMENT FINDS OUT, THEY WILL MOST LIKELY FIRE ME AND YOUR MOTHER AND I WILL BE ENDLESSLY HUMORED FOR BIRTHING A MUTANT!" , he screamed in her face. Arianna was trembling with fear at that point, her father had never yelled at her, never. This night was the start of the last days she would call that place home.
When she crept downstairs the next night to get a small snack, she overheard her father talking on the phone. "Hello?", he said," Is this Dr. Strucker? Yes, I have a mutant in my possession if you are willing to take it. Her mutation? She has these wings connected to her back naturally, as if they were bones. State? She's perfectly healthy and will literally obey anything, Dr. Strucker. $2500? In exchange for the filthy mutant? Thank you sir, we'll bring her in tomorrow and she'll be all yours.." When she heard that, she quietly sprinted upstairs to where she was now.
Quickly deciding that she was not to be experimented on, she grabbed a backpack, and placed in clothes, a blanket, a stuffie, toiletries, water, and food, just to last her a couple of days. She wore the backpack on her front instead of her back so she could fly with it on. Arianna opened the window and opened her wings, sighing, she closed the window, and flew her 8 year old self out of that place that she used to call home.
---- 10 year TIME SKIP----
Arianna sighed. She remembered that day like yesterday. It often came up in her nightmares, ending with her screaming in her wake. Being 8 back then, she had forgotten the most important thing, her piggy bank. With the limited supplies she had, she lived off the streets with fellow mutants until she was old enough to get her own job and help her own kind earn equal rights. She often used her mutations to fight people who wanted to destroy her friends, with her ending up with scars and fighting experience. The last battle she had been in was the Battle of New York, fighting aliens secretly along the Avengers. But she'd been sloppy, and SHIELD detected her. Now they were chasing her, but the closer they got, the farther she was away, until one day she was ambushed.
