Really...School

**Emma's POV**

I couldn't really remember what happened last night after the concert but I knew that something good had happened. I wasn't exactly sure who with but it didnt matter to me at this point. It had happened and I am glad it happened. I was thinking good thoughts until I realized, I had school today. I rushed out of my house in a hurry. I got to school just in time before the bell rang.

"Hey, since when do they go to our school?", I asked Bari pointing towards my cousin Ratliff and his band mates Riker, Rocky, Rydel, Ross, and their little brother Ryland.

"I think they just started today. We should show them around." Bari replied.

"That's a great idea. Why not?" I answered beginning to walk up to them. Too bad they began to walk in the opposite direction and I couldn't catch them.

"Too late." Bari said quickly like she was embarrassed.

The day felt way too long. Thank god we only had one more period. I can't imagine what I would do if I still had a whole day. Again, my thoughts were interrupted when the fire alarm went off. Could this day get any better? I started walking to the closest exit to me. It was on the floor below me. I had started to walk down the stairs when I was tripped and fell down the stairs. Everything went black.

I was awoken but I had no idea where I was. I think I was outside school but I felt like I was in somebody's backyard.

**Bari's POV**

I knew from what happened last night that I was so grateful to have Emma as a friend. Because of her, I had the best night in a long time. I knew something good would come from last night in the near future but I was hoping it wouldn't be soon. I guessed today would be a boring day as usual at school, which it pretty much was. Emma had walked up me and interrupted my thoughts.

"Hey, since when do they go to our school?", she asked pointing to her cousin Ratliff and his band mates Riker, Rocky, Rydel, Ross, and their little brother Ryland.

"I think they just started today. We should show them around." I replied.

"That's a great idea. Why not?", Emma answered beginning to walk up to them to see them walking away in the opposite direction.

"Too late." I said quickly.

My day continued as I figured it would go until the fire alarm went off. I began to evacuate school, but let's just say things didn't end as usual. I had begun to walk out the door when I was pushed by one of the jocks into somebody unexpected. Somebody I never thought I'd see again.

**Emma's POV**

I just started to feel my body again. I felt something touching my lips and got up quick.

"Who are you? Where am I? How did I get here? What happened? Why did you kiss me?" I began to blurt out every question that came to my mind.

"I'm Ryland. You're in my backyard. I carried you here. You fell down the stairs. And I didn't know what else to do to get you to wake up." He replied just as quick as I asked.

It got really awkward, really fast. I had no idea who he was, yet he looked so familiar. 

"Wait.....Are you new to school?" I asked jogging my memory.

"Yeah. My family and I just moved here." He answered suspicously. 

"So...are you're borthers in a band with Ellington?" I asked putting the pieces together. 

"Yeah, how do you know him?" Ryland asked in return.

"He's my cousin acutally. I was at the concert last night with my best friend." I answered him.

I couldn't tell if he was listening anymore at that point. He was just staring off into space, until he started kissing me. I began to kiss back and actually liked being with him. He stopped and that's when I got scared. What had I done?

"Wait...you were there last night with your best friend?" He questioned and I nodded yes in return. "Is your friend a brunette?" He asked and I continued to nod yes. "So that's the girl they were fighting over." Ryland spoke outloud. 

"Who were fighting?" I asked

"Didn't he tell you. My brother, Riker, and your cousin, Ratliff like your best friend." He answered as I froze not knowing what to do.

Ryland interrupted my thoughts as he began to kiss me. I couldn't remember a thing in the moment. He was so comforting, I couldn't even process that my cousin and his bandmate liked Bari.

**Bari's POV**

It was Emma's cousin Ratliff. I didn't really know what to say considering I knew he had feelings for me.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. They just pushed me and I ran into you. Please don't hurt me." I rambled.

"I'm not gonna hurt you, especially cause you're friends with Emma. She'd kill me if I'd hurt any of her friends." I chuckled as he finished.

As we exited Ratliff began to hold my hand, and I had let him hold my hand. It was like it was natural and I didn't have a choice but to let him hold my hand. One thing led to another and the next thing I knew we were at his house making out. I was the luckiest girl alive. Looks like my good thing came true, which only means bad news is soon to follow.
