The week had passed far sooner than I had expected. I was not happy at all.
I watched Gaara pack up his things as I ate ice cream on my Friday afternoon.
“Don’t forget your dental travel kit,” I chided as he packed his pajamas and such.
“Hai, hai,” said Gaara as he tossed some jeans into his bag next.
“Do you have,” I began as I counted the days he would be gone. “Four pairs of underwear?”
“I’ll only need three,” said Gaara.
“An extra just in case,” I said as I took another small scoop of ice cream.
He then opened his underwear drawer and tossed one into the suitcase. “Now, I did.”
I nodded my head. “Good. What about deodorant?”
“Side pocket,” responded Gaara as he looked for his dental travel kit.
He then found it in his nightstand and tossed it in the bag.
I looked at the messely packed suitcase. “For someone who keeps their room clean, you can’t properly pack a suitcase.”
“I’m going to their home,” said Gaara. “I don’t care about how clean I look there.”
“You should,” I said as I sighed.
“Come over here and sit on the suitcase,” said Gaara as he waved me over.
“Hai, hai,” I said as I walked over to the suitcase. I then sat on it and watched as Gaara locked it up.
“There,” he said after a bit of struggling. He then leaned back and glanced at my ice cream. I chuckled and rose up the spoon and let him eat some.
“Thank you,” said Gaara as he stood up.
“Welcome,” I said as I looked up at him from my seat on the suitcase.
I then got off the bag and watched as Gaara lifted it up. He then carried it down stairs with ease as he set it outside.
“By the way,” said Gaara. “I pretty much did all the normal chores for upstairs. The only thing I didn’t do was vacuum.”
“Okay,” I said.
Gaara then sighed as he looked at our home. “Well, I gotta go now.”
I nodded as I looked down. “I’ll miss ya.”
“Miss you too,” said Gaara as he gave me a hug.
I hugged back, but then I gently pushed him away. “Now, get going! Love you bro!”
“Love ya too,” said Gaara. He then began his walk to the train station. He had a car, but chose to walk instead.

It was already the next day since Gaara’s departure, and I decided to get to cleaning. I put on my little cleaning outfit, which consisted of an apron, gloves and headband (like AoT bandana/scarf headband).
I then took the gloves off when I realized I had to vacuum first. I walked over to the machine and began to lunge it upstairs. I pulled and tugged as I huffed. When I reached the top of the stairs, I plugged the vacuum up and immediately started my chore.
I eventually finished and decided to just leave the vacuum upstairs. See, I had already vacuumed the downstairs area yesterday.
I then went down and began to clean the kitchen. I cleaned the counters, the sink and the floor. I cleaned the dining room and living room. I soon went to the bathrooms. As I cleaned one of the two tubs, I heard a knock at the door.
I wiped some sweat off of my face, before saying, “I’ll be there in a sec!”
I then walked over to the door. I soon pulled one of my gloves of in order to open the door.
But, before I opened it, I looked through the peephole. Safety first, you know.
I smiled as I saw Sukimi.

I then opened the door.
“Hello, Sukimi-sensei,” I said.
“That’s Uncle Sukimi to you,” responded Sukimi. “We’re out of school after all. I’ll even let you just call me Sukimi-san.”
I shook my head as I smiled. “Okay, well, what brings you here?”
“On Gaara’s behalf,” began Sukimi. “I came to check on you.”
I was happy for a moment, but then I realized that this meant Gaara didn’t think I could take care of myself. I puffed out my cheeks at this realization.
“Now, don’t go getting all upset,” said Sukimi. “He’s just showing that he cares.”
“I guess,” I said as I sighed. I then shook my head. “But, besides that, do you want some tea? Or anything?”
Sukimi nodded. “I’ll get some tea, please.”
I nodded and then went to make it.
After preparing the tea and serving it, Sukimi and I sat on the couch together.
“Personally,” began Sukimi. “I think you and Gaara would make the cutest couple.”
I almost did a spit take! I looked at Sukimi after I managed to force myself to gulp down the tea. “Wha?”
“I know you have feelings for him,” said Sukimi. “I’ve actually been knowing that. I guess you could say I know it because I kind of acted the same way with Kakashi when we were young.”
“You still are young,” I commented.
Sukimi giggled. “As if. I’m an old man in his late twenties.”
“Really?” I asked. “Do you realize how much you just insulted actual old people?”
Sukimi then laughed. “Well, I’m sorry to them. But, we’re getting off topic with all this old people talk. I want to know what you plan to do with your feelings, Toshio.”
I gulped. “I don’t know.”
Sukimi then gave me a gentle smile. “Good.”
“What?” I asked.
“Not knowing is part of the glorious adventure of young love, which can turn into old if you cherish it enough,” said Sukimi as he rubbed his cup.
“I see…” I muttered. “Was that how it was for you and Kakashi-san?”
“Definitely,” said Sukimi. “I had no idea what I wanted back then. My case was terrible when you think about how I was in love with two people. Well, in love with Kakashi and had a really dumb crush on my senpai who had helped me get hired for a part-time job. However, it all worked out in the end. Plus, I had a happy punch the snake in the face ending.”
“Snake?” I questioned.
“I had a crush on the old dude who runs Snake Co.,” said Sukimi. “Orochimaru.”
I looked at Sukimi with wide eyes. “I’m glad you chose Kakashi; that other dude is a creep.”
“I know right,” said Sukimi as he sighed. “I’m not proud of many choices I made back then.”
“At least the wrong choices led you to the right one,” I said as I smiled.
Sukimi grinned. “You got that right.”
Sukimi and I then talked about other things. After a bit, we continued to talk while Sukimi helped me to clean up the house. He insisted on doing so since he had interrupted me before.
I dusted off the shelves in living room, while Sukimi cleaned off the dining room table. The talk had quieted down when we came closer to being done. It was all Clean-mode now.
After we finished, Sukimi and I had lunch together. I cooked something simple, Teriyaki Salmon. It was light and could hold Sukimi over until dinner. After eating, Sukimi took one last glance around my house before leaving.
I then decided to complete my weekend homework. It was going to be boring without Gaara here, and it was.
