Chatter filled the conference room as the officials waited for news from the new mole. The Queen sat, her eyes closed as she stayed silent and still. Harlow was leaning back in her seat, a smug smile resting on her face as she watched everyone else chatter. Her eyes passed over Quintavius' seat, noticing he was absent.
The doors parted suddenly, the latch sliding out of place. The clicking sound silenced the room; all of them turned to see the new arrival. Inigo slipped into the room silently, his head slightly bowed as he swept the doors closed behind him.
"Changeling, what news do you bring us?" Zalia questioned, followed by a regal nod from the Queen. Inigo looked sheepish, but still maintained good posture.
"I've made a mistake," he started, gaining the weary attention of everyone but his maker. "I went after the defected mole in attempts of elimination; I was unsuccessful. Her squadron showed up before I had the ability to get rid of her. I was reckless."
"Well, did they get a look at your face?" questioned Yvonne, twirling a wisp of hair that had fallen out of her bun. Inigo shook his head.
"Her unit didn't see me, but the mole knew me. She thought we were still friends," he muttered bitterly.
"This is good news for us. We can easily send in a cleaning crew after the mess you have created. Changeling, next time, stay on your mission and do not stray. I hope you know you have hindered our Resistance intelligence with this stunt you have pulled." Inigo nodded his head, looking away and keeping his head down.
"It's too sloppy to kill her now. The Resistance will get suspicious. They'll go onto high alert and make things even more difficult. We need someone to wipe her memories of your identity for safety," Zalia reasoned, looking around the room. "We need to call in Demetri."

The tall, lanky vampire slipped in through the window into Nova's room. He stayed on silent feet, as he sent the guard a cautious look. The man seemed fast asleep, his mouth gaped open as his head was thrown uncomfortably against the back of the chair. A metal staff of some sort rested between his folded arms.
With one last glance, he made his way over to the hospital bed. His eyes gaze over her condition. She had a thick gauze wrapped around the top of her head. She was turned on her side, and you could see the back was blood stained. Her arm was in a sling, two wooden blocks were wrapped in more gauze around her hand to keep the bones in place. Her skin was paler than a normal human should be.
He rocked her head over gently to lift it, wrapping his fingertips around her temples. He started whispering in a strange language, Nova's eyebrows twitching into a frown. Her eyes moved rapidly behind her lids. Within her sleep, she gasped loudly, causing her guard to stir.
The vampire quickly finished up his job, heading out the window without hesitation. Christopher woke up too late, groggily scanning the emptied room. He situated himself in the chair once again, wincing from the pain that bolted up his spine before rest his head back once again and closing his eyes to sleep.
