I really hope parents know that the negative things they say stays with the child. Like my dad's told me I'm too stupid and dumb and he feels bad for whoever marries me. Plus he's told me that if I came out my mom would hate me because she wants grandchildren and I was worried about that for years before I came out so I hope they knew that the insults and mean stuff has a long lasting effect.
