For the record, William slept peacefully. However, when he closed his eyes Kath came into the picture. The fairy sat on a rock with her beautiful golden hair, tucked with small flowers. A long pink dress she wore trailed on the ground, the sleeves rested on her arms, leaving her shoulders bare. Their eyes met and Kath gave a brilliant smile. Suddenly the area was washed in white and William woke up.
Ignoring that that dream, he pushed himself out of that comfy bed and freshened up. With no extra clothes with him, William removed his princely coat, folded it and placed it on his bed. He had a full sleeved undershirt on, his brown pants and shoes.
Picking a comb from the drawer, William did his hair neatly and looked at himself in the mirror.
'Presentable.' He nodded to himself.
A cool wind blew from the window. It lured him there. Outside, the view was perfect as types of trees grew everywhere allowing small pockets of sunlight to go through. Chirping birds did a round and butterflies flew in the garden. There were a few plants that he couldn't even recognise. A flower glowed bright pink while it's leaves stayed very green. Wonders existed here and he wanted to discover as many as he could when he had this chance. Suddenly a voice spoke to him from behind
"Good morning William."
William turned around to see Kath hovering in front of him, holding a kettle in her hand. Her golden hair had curls tucked with flowers. She wore a pale yellow satin dress that shimmered slightly as she moved.

"You surprise me. How sneak up here?" He grinned at her.
"I flew silently." She replied simply and lifted the kettle."Want to try some rose tea?"

Kath did sleep peacefully. The rising sun shed its wonderful golden light over Gladia telling the folk to get up. The queen was wide awake by now and ready to do her morning practice. Sword fighting was the basic defence for fairies while elves used staffs to attack their enemies. Sabe stood in the garden all ready to fight. Kath stood in front of him, her eyes burning with concentration. Sabe nodded, that set them off. The sword and staff clashed wildly yet tactfully. Quick and light on her feet, Kath swung her sword wide arcs effectively making it hard for the elf to attack. However, Sabe wasn't going go down that easily.
He counter-attacked by bringing down his staff on her sword twice. Stunned, Renee was thrown a few paces back but regained her hold on the surroundings. This was it, Kath flew quickly and tilted herself a bit. After that she spun. Sabe's eyes widened when her sword repeated clashed on his staff. He tried to attack but out the blue he could no longer feel his staff in his hands. It lay on the ground a few feet beside him. The message was clear.
Renee had won.
The fairy returned his staff and gave a friendly chuckle. Sabe looked at her in confusion and marvel.
"You have won." He declared and burst out laughing."Well done Kathy! You certainly have improved!" She gave hearty grin and then talked about daily happenings of the kingdom. There were small problems but they were being taken care of quickly. Sabe then shooed her off and told to enjoy the holiday.
The queen nodded gratefully and flew off towards the castle to get ready. After a while or so, dressed in a simple bath-gown that was slightly wet, she contemplated on her choice of clothing. It ranged from the softest silk to deep velvet and satin. Perhaps wearing a light yellow satin gown would do. Picking up a flowing gown and trying it out, something hit her like a brick.
Kath had never been so keen about dressing up and looking pretty but now she wanted to look the best. Best for him.
'You are just overthinking. Don't pay attention.' She thought and looked at her reflection in the mirror. The satin gown fit perfectly with the strings of shiny beads that rested in her arms leaving the shoulders bare. Her hair was made up in Victory curls with wavy hair flowing down like a waterfall spilling on her shoulders.
'Presentable' She nodded but little did she know that she would look stunning in a certain Prince's eyes.

"Lena, I'm going to need a kettle of rose tea. Please tell Treni to prepare it." She told her butler when she served her breakfast. Lena raised an eyebrow

"Why your highness?"

Alright. Lena was a nosy little  thing but that was Lena. She quickly told her that it was for someone personal issues. That seemed to interest Lena  but one warning look, she went off. Sometimes this castle would revolve around suspicion. Kath reflected on her duties as a queen. There was so much of responsibility that came with it. Making speeches and looking forward to solve a problem and even more important protect and serve Gladia. The folk respected her and loved her. Evren too was proud of her achievement.

Yet even after all these years of ruling, Kath began to notice that something was missing. The queen ignored it for a while but it came back gnawing at her. It was only yesterday night that made her realise the loneliness in the heart.

"Evren's getting married Kath!  Isn't it wonderful?"

After hearing those Kath's heart filled with absolute contentment and joy that her trusted ally had found love in his life. But, Kath didn't have anyone in her life. It was just her and that feeling expanded when Sabe asked her the question.

'Keep searching Kath.' The queen thought to herself.

An elderly voice brought her out of her thoughts.

"Your highness, the rose tea." Treni said, placing it on the table and bowed when she was dismissed. She was all set to go.

Balancing the kettle delicately and carefully, Kath flew in the air avoiding trees every now and then. 'Just a little more distance' She thought to herself finally the cottage. William was standing there looking the surroundings in absolute wonder. She hid behind a tree and watched him quietly. The way he stood there on the rock and observed a little flower growing beside him. The lad had not worn his princely clothes. A simple white vest and brown turd along with black boots. William looked absolutely handsome.

"Wait, now I'm feeling dizzy?" She frowned and decided to come out of her hiding place. He seemed shaken when saw her and asked her the question.

"I flew silently William. Do you want some rose tea?"

A childish sparkle appeared in his eye and nodded furiously. Kath may not know too much about humans but she learnt one thing. They were filled with curiosity. Perhaps thats why they were so eccentric and stubborn.

William laid the cups on the table and Kath prepared a small dessert out raspberries. After everything was ready, both of them sat down. Renee poured the rose tea and motioned him to taste. It started as  a small sip and developed into one whole gulp. Kath burst into giggles.

"It's amazing. An exquisite flavour." William stared in wonder. She poured him another cup and was about drink it but then stopped. William looked at teacup. It was empty. Taking the kettle, he poured the rose tea in her cup.

"What's the matter?" She spoke to him, her eyes dancing with confusion.

"I been drinking the tea all by myself. It is rude not to serve another and especially a Queen." He elaborated with a slight blush that she found it to be adorable. Kath gratefully took the cup and lifted it, savouring the sweet liquid that ran down her throat.

Both of them shared the raspberry dessert where William simply lost himself in. For once, Kath complemented herself; She could at least make a good raspberry dessert. The success dawned on her and she mentally patted herself.

She suddenly noticed that William was standing in front the window staring outside. The thoughts of exploration were flitting in his mind but he didn't know where to start. Kath decided to help him out.

"William do you want to explore?"

He turned around abruptly, his eyes wide open. After that only a soft 'yes' came out.
