"Alright, Andrew." Spencer pulled the covers over your son and took a seat with you on the edge of his bed. "What do you wanna read tonight?" He asked with a warm smile. Andrew shrugged.

"I don't care. You and mommy pick!" He beamed. This was always Andew's favorite part of the day; story time. Spencer raised his eyebrows and looked over at you for any ideas. You pulled a book off the shelf.

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar?" You suggested. It had always been your favorite children's book. Spencer bit his lip.

"Hmm... I was thinking something more along the lines of a fairy tale." Reid not-so-subtly hinted. You cocked your head at him.

"Oh yeah? Well I happen to love The Very Hungry Caterpillar." You teased.

"Mommy always gets to pick the book, right Andrew?" Spencer whined jokingly. Andrew giggled and nodded enthusiastically.

"Fairy tale!" He squeeled with excitement.

"That settles it then. Fairy tale it is." Spencer grinned. You let out a playful huff of contemption.

"Once upon a time-" Spencer started.

"Where's the book, daddy?" Andrew wondered.

"This one isn't in a book, Andrew. I came up with this one on my own." Spencer smiled and bopped Andrew's nose. "No interrupting!" He scolded playfully.

"Once upon a time, there was a peasant who lived in a village. He liked his job and his friends and his family. He was happy with his life. But little did he know how better it was about to get." He began. "The village was ruled by a stern king who never seemed to smile. He was very serious, but he cared about all of his subjects. He had a daughter, the princess. One day, the king was away talking to another king of another far away kingdom. The village was ambushed by masked bandits. They stormed the castle and were going to kidnap the princess! Everyone in the village started to panic. They began fleeing the city, all of them except for that one happy peasant. He ran into the castle and began fighting off the evil bandits. Eventually, he made it to the princess' room and managed to save her. He burst in the door, but once he got inside, he could barely move. He saw how beautiful the pincess was and he froze in his tracks. 'You saved me,' the princess said. Still unable to say anything, the peasant just nodded. 'Thank you! How can I ever repay you?!' the princess cried and kissed her cheek."

"Ewwww!" Andrew wrinkled his nose and shook his head. Spencer chuckled and gave you a wink.

"The princess fell in love with the peasant and the peasant fell in love with the princess. They got married, and had a beautiful little boy named Andrew."

"Hey, that's my name!"

"And happy family lived happily ever after." Spencer finished.

"Wait a second..." Andrew narrowed his eyes and looked up at his dad. "Is mommy a princess?" He asked, confused.

Spencer grinned and pulled you into his arms. "Yep." He kissed the top of your head. "She's my princess."
