Meeting Mr. Jerk

Chapter Six

So sorry for the delay I've been really busy. I know this chapter is short but I promise to upload really soon (like maybe two days or so)

I reached my office and sat at my desk to start my work. The phone rang and I picked it up. It was Mr. Jerk telling me to come to his office immediately.

I slowly got up and marched myself to his office.

"Elizabeth, I have a meeting with the rest of the team in 30 minutes. I want you to be there as well so you can take notes".

"Alright, anything else?"

"No, that is all".

I went back to my office and got a notepad and pen. I knew I had to be extra observant of this meeting since Mr. Summers will want the notes in perfect details. He hadn't said anything but he seems the kind of guy that you just know is a perfectionist.

Anyways I got up and went to get a cup of coffee.

30 minutes later everyone was in the meeting room storming for an idea for an ad of a new client. Everyone was throwing great ideas; I could tell that that particular client is very important from the amount of effort everyone is putting in. I was sitting right next to Mr. Summers in the meeting and to my left side was Emily. I was so focused and in a hurry to write every single idea or thought down, that I felt my hands started to get tired. I ignored it and moved on.

The meeting went on for about 2 hours more before finally Mr. Summers called it a day and said that everybody should take a break and sleep on the ideas and that there will be a meeting tomorrow to continue.

I got up and went to my desk. It was time to go home so I grabbed my stuff, said my goodbyes and went to the elevator.

Emily was already there, we shared a smile

"You look tired" said Emily

"Yeah, you too"

"I feel exhausted, I just want to go home and have a nice hot bath"

"Amen".

I got to my car and I drove home.
