"Are you crazy?! Do you know what sort of people walk the streets at midnight? CREEPY PEOPLE, LENA, CREEPERS." My mother shouted, waving her arms above her head and pacing around the room, "No more walks, Lena, you're not going anywhere alone after 8." She crossed her arms and stood in front of me and with the sternest look she could muster. Clearly, she was proud of my punishment.

She wouldn't do this to me if she knew what happened. To be fair, after getting Wyatt home I barely made it back myself. My legs were jelly and I couldn't keep my eyes open. "Mum, please don't do this, It won't happen again." I pleaded.

"Damn right it won't!" She placed her hands on her hips and furrowed her eyebrows. "After the sun sets, you are not to set a foot outside this house without supervision."

I looked at her incredulously, "I don't need a babysitter."

"Clearly - you do. I would not have to go to these lengths if you could use your head for once. Do you understand how reckless you've been acting?"

"At least I'm not coming home drunk." I mumbled and crossed my arms, tucking my foot under my other leg.

"I would rather you come home drunk and safe than having me wondering where the hell my daughter is in the middle of the night!" She was shouting at me and from the corner of my eye I could see Theo, peeking into the room and covering his mouth to contain his giggles.

"Fine."

"Good." She brushed off her shirt and fixed her sweater. "I've contacted Ms. Forbes and from now on you will go to their house at 6 and will either stay the night or her son will drive you home."

Ugh.

"Are you serious?" I did not want to spend a minute in the car with Wyatt. Primarily because I cannot control myself in the company of attractive males, but also, I did not want to make small talk.

"Do I look like I'm joking, Magdalena?" From all the way upstairs I could hear Theo hollering at the sound of our mother saying my full name. "Be quiet, Theodore."

"No mum, but can't you just pick me up?"

"Is there a problem with the boy?" She raised her eyebrows and leaned closer to me.

"No but -"

"That's what I thought." and with those last words she walked away.

I huffed and fell back onto the couch. It was 5:30 and soon I'd have to go to the Forbes'.
Think about the money, Lena.
College, Lena.
Higher education, Lena .

When I entered my room, naturally, I was greeted by the usual clutter and piles of clothes. Standing in the doorway I could see my phone light up on my desk.

SOPH : you going babysitting today?

ME : yeah, but I think I'm free tomorrow.

SOPH : good, I want you to meet Marky *heart eyes emoji*

If only there were words to describe Sophie. Tall, big ass, curly brown hair down to her chin, constantly wearing red lipstick.
She set herself a goal of gathering as much 'dating experience' possible before the start of college and real men. Marky -also knows as Marcus- attends our community college and feeds on the souls of the innocent. As many times as I've seen him, his piercing black eyes still manage to give me goosebumps.

I checked myself in the mirror. Blue jeans, white sweater, messy hair - the usual.

"Lena honey, it's time for you to go!" My mothers voice rang out from the kitchen, sounding as if we didn't just have a fight.
