The car ride wasn't as awkward as I thought it'd be. The boys introduced themselves to me (properly this time) and we shared a nice five minute conversation. We were only three minutes away from the place we agreed to go to, well, the boys and Soph agreed to go to, I was trying my best not to fall asleep to the crazy screaming that was going on in the car.
"How do you even know them, Sophie?" I whispered, leaning over completely to her side.
"Benny, is Marky's childhood best friend, I met him when we first started dating." She winked at me and started searching the streets for a parking space.
"So what are we doing?" Joseph's ruffled head poked in from behind, "I've been taking a well deserved nap." he said, yawning.
Thank god I'm not the only one completely lost.
"well Joey, these lovely ladies have agreed to ditch their fancy café outing and join in on our offer of chilling on the golf course." Cooper decided to fill his friend in, from the mirror I could see his smug face smirking.
"a golf course?" I asked, slowly turning round and looking at them.
"It's okay, my dad owns it." Joseph said nonchalantly, yawning again, his pale blue eyes watering.
I turned to Sophie and gave her a look of disbelief, "it's okay, his dad owns it..."
"westland boys." she whispered with a glint in her eye.
The back erupted with laughter and someone's phone began to ring. It turned silent as everyone scrambled around trying to locate the gadget.
"Got em!" Joseph shrieked, "it's yours Benny."
Benny snatched it muttering a "thank you", "hey Mark, yeah Joey's golf course, cool see you soon."
Sophie's face lit up and she nearly jumped out of her seat, "Marky's coming?"
Benny sported a quite welcoming grin, "yeah, in twenty minutes."
Soph's ears tipped pink and she put the car into park. "I guess we're here, guys."
Before I could gather my stuff and open the car door, the evening breeze hit my face and a gallant Joseph guided me out of the car, shutting the door behind me. My face filled with heat whilst his remained smiling and somewhat mischievous, like a scheming ten year old.
"Thank you." I muttered, slipping on my coat.
"pleasure, my lady" He himself effortlessly threw on his jacket, and walked off, "ladies and gents, please follow me - the key bearer." He raised his hand and revealed a single metal key, glowing yellow form the streetlights. His friends shook their heads but trailed after him, nevertheless.
We passed through a very high metal fence and onto a clean cut grass field, hills of never ending green. When I looked around I only spotted two out of four heads, Sophie and Benny had left to buy food and booze. Joseph and Cooper took off they coats and laid them on the ground, gesturing for me to sit, propping themselves on the grass. I had to say, so far all the Westland boys had a compelling charisma and charm surrounding them, impossible to resist and not like.
"So Lena, how is it that you know our boy Wyatt..." Copper began but was distracted by someone vibrating in his pocket, "speaking of the ginger." he answered the phone, "yoyo ... we're with two young ladies at Joey's place... sure but bring food we're starving ... yeah this girl's boyfriend ... ok hurry up." I could faintly hear Wyatt's voice on the other side, deep and good-humoured, something he always seemed to be.
