"What the hell were you thinking!?" Barnes(The Boss) yelled

"I don't know, we had a lot of work to do!!" I replied

"Do you think I care!?" still yelling

"No, Sir" I said feeling ashamed

"Then get out!" He finally yelled

 8/3/2016  Journal,

Every case is the same conversation. I do something wrong, then I get yelled at. Each time the boss gets angrier and angrier. I don't know how much longer he's gonna put up with me. First it was the alligator, then the swans (GOD THE SWANS), then the bank, and now the chase. I am seriously worried that the next time I fuck up, it could be the last time, well at least in this job.

         -The Following week-

"Attention squad D there is a 207A, I repeat, there is a 207A"

"HOLY SHIT!!!" my coworker, Sean Yelled.

He started grabbing everything on his desk. Rushing like he just got a call that his wife was in the hospital (Not that he had a wife yet, they were still engaged)

"Whats a 207A?" I managed to speak, still questioning his sudden urgency for a call that the station gets so often.

"Its a Kidnap attempt!" He yelled

He scrambled out of the door in such a hurry I didn't even have time to ask anything else. It was especially weird because nobody else was even flinching. It was so strange. I got up and picked up my radio and asked where it was. They replied that it was in Avalon, which was the city just south of us . We weren't really in any cities, so it was rare that we got any call-ins (our station is on a man-made island between the main state, and all the island parts south of it), especially in squad D, and at most we get three a week. I ran through the information and went to my car to head towards Avalon.

On the way there I saw Sean on the side of the road.  I decided to go ahead and pass since we weren't in Avalon yet, and headed on my way.  After a few minutes, I got more information on the whereabouts of the young girl being seen on the east coast.
