Miss;
Iris POV
I open up the script to the first line I have highlighted. I close my eyes and imagine the scene, on my house porch in Pinedale, Arizona. I park my car in the driveway.
"Mom!" I say approaching. Someone snaps me out of it by using the squeaky door to the lounge room. The girl approaches the couch and takes a seat. She isn't that close to me but close enough to burst my bubble. I don't look over at her, and she just goes to grab the remote for the television. She turns it on and it's already at medium volume. I look over at her as she is surfing the channels.
"Do you mind?" I ask her referring to me practicing the script.
"Don't bother." She tells me. I furrow my eyebrows.
"What?" I ask causing her to explain.
"Your Iris Vander right?" she asks looking at me up and down.
"Yeah." I answer slowly.
"We've met before, during auditions remember?" She asks me and I nod.
"Well the audition, well. Let's just say that the casting director and his little friend really like me," She continues surfing the channels.
"Well I shouldn't say little," she continues her focus to the television. I raise my eyebrows at her; I can tell she is referring to Harry. Why the hell is she so arrogant? I get some people can be optimistic about these things, but this girl is crazy.
"Okay." I say slowly again. Now she puts a face to the person I am going up against during this audition. She's pretty but I've never seen her face before. I stand up to leave,
"I'll leave you to this." I roll my eyes and walk out of there. I go to my trailer for some piece and quiet. I get there and shut the door behind me. I take a seat on my couch. I turn on the light and get the AC going. I begin to read again. Elise is standing in front of Isaac as he is pleading me to stay.
"Why don't you stay?" I read his line in my head.
"Why should I stay, is there anything here for me?" I put emotion into every word. Jake entering my trailer suddenly interrupts me again.
"Iris... I am sorry for before. I wasn't listening and I was sorting out things and..." I stand.
"I have an audition in five hours, and I really want to participate in this movie. I have to get the part." I explain to him.
"I brought lunch." He says lifting up the bag of sandwiches. I groan walking over to him, I really need to practice but why so if I haven't eaten all day. He gives me my sandwich and drink; we both take a seat and start to dig in.
"So... what did you have to sort out?" I ask before taking a bite.
"I umm..." he swallows.
"Had a couple things from the agency about Forrest." He stares at me.
"You may think I hate him, but I don't I just thought you would keep your promise."
"Iris I made that deal before you even had a career so don't do that. And plus he is barely around." He says stuffing his mouth.
"Yeah, where is he?" take a sip of my drink.
"Well I mean he's here now." My eyes widen at him.
"What you should've told-" I try to whisper but Forrest enters the trailer.
"Hey guys." He says entering my trailer. We both stare at him for a second.
"Am I welcome here? Because I can..." he stops.
"No it's totally fine. Wait... where are you from?" I ask him. He takes a seat across from me,
"Wisconsin. But I moved all over. Military family." I nod my head.
"That's what the movie is about, a girl from a military family and she-" Jake intervenes.
"Save it for the trailer." Forrest laughs as I give Jake a mean glare.
"Alright mate. I have to go but see ya soon." He leaves us.
"So how well do you know this guy?" he asks me leaning in.
"For a couple of years now. My whole career basically. The accent kind of threw me off too." We both laugh.
"Where are you from?" he asks me.
"Southern, sunny California." He nods again and his phone starts to ring.
"I have to take this?" I nod and he leaves the trailer. A couple minutes go by and he comes back placing his phone in his pocket.
"I have to go but, it was fun eating lunch with you." I stand up; he gets his leftover sandwich and laptop bag. I awkwardly open my arms, he walks into them and we share a soft hug. I focus back on the script by opening the script for the last time.

I finish reading the script; I can tell every word was written with precise detailing. I pick up my phone and look at the clock, its 4:48 p.m. I have to be at the callback at 5:00. I stand up and almost leave; Claire is walking up to approaching my trailer.
"Oh thank god." I hug her releasing all the stress and pressure I feel right now.
"What?" she asks me.
"Nothing. Well, I tried to tell you this morning that I have an audition..." she interrupts me.
"I heard you, that's why I'm here." I breathe out in relief.
"Are you freaking out?" she asks slowly.
"Well," I pull out my phone to check the time. "I have to be at my callback in ten."
"Okay, Iris your one of the best actresses I've ever known." She says.
"Save it for when I get the part." I tell her.
"That's the spirit." We both laugh.
"Wish me luck." I say leaving her. I tall guy directs me to the audition rooms.
"Hello Iris. I don't believe we've met." He says as I enter the room.
"Yeah well I've heard a lot about-" he shifts his head to the door. My heart drops as Harry enters the room,
"Did I miss anything?" he asks.
