Chapter 38

The morning sunlight chirped through the huge glass window.

Madhu opened her eyes slowly then covered her face with the blanket... absolutely squeezed in his warm clutch she didn't wanted to pull away but it was almost time to get up and leave for work... plus she needs to sort out other pending works. Also RK didn't go for his shoots from the last week or so...producers will end up calling on the home phone now...

"RK...wake up" she kissed him on the cheek... his stubble had grown too much in this whole week but he looked extremely handsome...

She smiled while his eyes were still shut... "Umm... let me sleep Madhu" he said hoarsely

She tingled his stubble with her long nails... "Get up RK..."

After few minutes of beseeching finally she got up from the bed and looked for her clothes around the bed...

While brushing her teeth she still thought about Devyani... why a Mother would fall so low...her thoughts were getting deeper the more she thought... RK would be so hurt, no wonder he never liked his own Mother...

She was still in thoughts when she felt him grabbing her from the waist and kissed her on the neck "Madhu...."

She smiled "look at you Mr lazy...come on RK...get ready and please get out of this overgrown stubble"

He opened his eyes slowly, looked in the mirror in the front... then rubbed his stubble with her soft cheeks...

"Hmm...go away" she tried pushing him and concentrated on brushing her teeth...

"But how can we go on a holiday RK" Madhu poured the coffee in the cups..

RK ate the last bite "why not...I have never taken you anywhere...and now I want my wife to come with me on a holiday"

"No RK...not now...I promise later...now I have work to do and you also should concentrate on your film..." she checked her bag for all the cards and keys... "Now where is my car key?"

She touched her head...

"I will drop you...why do you worry" RK kissed her on the lips...

"Ummm..." she pushed him a little "RK...you start anytime... first find my keys"

He itch his head a little "finding things is hard for me..." he checked his phone for messages

In the meantime Madhu received a call from inspector Arjun "hi inspector...."

RK watched her while talking on the phone ....

The moment she kept the phone he asked her curiously "now the case is solved...why you want to go deeper into this..."

"No RK...you don't understand...I have a feeling there's lot more to this..." she kissed him on the lips and left ... "I will see you in the evening"

RK smiled ...

Madhu quickly parked the car in the parking lot...she was getting late for her first meeting that was about the same patient she was dealing with from the past month...

She adjusted her sari and walked elegantly towards the emergency building.

"Hi Madhu...you look so pretty today. Something special?" Roma offered a cup of coffee...

Madhu flushed a little "yes Roma...pleasure makes anyone look pretty"

"So finally, everything resolved?"

"Yes Roma... and I am so happy finally everything is fixed..." Madhu said...

"I am so happy for you...listen we have an emergency today. It's the first baby delivery ...and I know you're the best" Roma winked...

"Yes I am just coming..." Madhu smiled

Madhu was getting ready for the operation theatre when she heard her phone...

She gave a broad smile "I have an emergency RK...I will call you back"

"No, I want to meet you right now" he prompt

"Are you alright...? This lady is about to deliver a baby... how can I meet you now?" Madhu shouted back

RK was silent "what? Baby?"

"Yes RK... I will call you back" she disconnected the phone...

RK wondered then left for his next shot...

Madhu was still going through the files to look for any clue that can help in the case... "Come on... not even a single clue in these medical books" she said to herself...

After sometime she thought of checking with her patient...

It was almost 9pm. She knew RK would blast if he reached home first and she wasn't there... she stepped in the ward where Ma, her patient was lying in coma... Madhu checked her blood pressure and made sure she was getting the medicines correctly

She was about to leave when she saw RK standing behind her... "RK...how come you're here...?"

She glanced around...

"Don't worry I have come to kidnap you from your devoted hospital..."

"What?" she asked

"Look at the time Madhu...come let's go home." He pulled her closer

"But RK my patient..." she pointed towards the lady on the bed...

"Leave that for tomorrow now..." RK gave a short glance on the bed... then stopped pulling her closer...

"Who is she?" he asked

Madhu was surprised as RK never asked about any patients... "We don't know RK...but she's here from last one month and in coma."

RK carefully observed the old lady on the bed as if trying to recall something "I don't know why I have a feeling that I have seen her somewhere" he said...

Madhu kept a hand on his shoulder "come let's go home. Don't get so filmy...this is not a shot"

RK touched the bed near her feet "no Madhu I am not pretending..."

Madhu seriously watched him thinking... "RK...come"

Both walked away....

RK was still in thoughts and Madhu was completely astonished by this... "Now you're not even eating. Is it so bad?"

RK was staring at the food when he realised Madhu was talking to him "oh...this, no Madhu. It's good"

"RK...what's upsetting you?" Madhu kept her hand on his cheek

He looked at her and held her closer "come here"

He pulled her in his lap and nuzzled his face in her chest... Madhu stroked her fingers in his hair... "I think you're tired, come let's sleep"

She softly kissed him on the lips, one of her hands resting gently on his cheek as her free fingers tangled through his hair.

Slowly she wrapped her arms around his neck kissing him like there was no tomorrow. RK's hands tightened at her waist, pulling her dress around the middle...

She kissed the side of his mouth. His breathing was hard and ragged, and so was hers. As she kissed the side of his neck, a low growl escaped his lips. He pulled back bringing her face up to kiss her lips softly, and then he leaned his head on hers....

"Madhu, you're driving me crazy...my control is slipping" he whispered against her lips...

She started giggling at his sexy voice...

Another minute he lifted her in his arms and walked towards the bedroom...
