Chapter 49

With little inklings of the sound she got up from the bed... Madhu still wondered what the sound was about.

It was happening ever since she went to sleep, the clock already showed 1:00am at night and RK had to go out for his shoot. Ignoring the sound for the second time she walked towards the bathroom. To her surprise she heard someone running outside.

Scared a little she quickly walked out and rushed downstairs... "Watchman..." she shouted but couldn't get a response back.

"Security..." she shouted and two guards came at the door...

"Yes Ma'am, are you alright?" asked one of them...

Madhu tried to relax "I was calling for the watchman who stays in the garden at back during night...but he didn't responded"

"We will check" said the guards and rushed towards the garden.

Horrified Madhu kept her hand on her mouth the moment she saw the watchman's blood all over his face and neck. He was dead, but how? This scared Madhu since she did heard someone running when she was in the bathroom

"RK, hello" she dialled his number, but it wasn't clear due to the poor network

She tried again and again but every time it went to the voicemail.

Annoyingly she called the police station to explain the incident.

Madhu took a glass of water from the tray in front of her. "That's all I heard at that time Arjun, nothing else"

Arjun advised his team to scan the whole area and advised the other members working in the mansion not to go towards the garden area...

Madhu was still shocked with what had just happened an hour back. She wanted RK to come quickly as she was feeling lonely and scared without him.

"It must be a conspiracy Mrs Kundra, who knows...but don't worry we will try our best to find the killer" Arjun said and walked away...

Madhu asked the servants to go back and rest as she was tired herself but her mind kept reeling back, the face of the watchman came in front of her several times while she was still climbing the stairs "why will anyone kill the poor watchman." She said to herself.

Finally reaching her bedroom she made sure all the windows are closed as instructed by the police. She walked towards the side of the bed and took out a painkiller. With a glass of water gulping down her throat "this head ache will kill me"

She took out the phone to dial RK's number but it was still unreachable. She somehow knew the news would reach RK and he will come soon... still lying on the bed she felt extremely uncomfortable. She thought of calling her father and advising him of what all happened and she wouldn't be able to leave RK alone.

She suspected Devyani as the root cause of all this miss happening in the house. How can she tell RK that Devyani was not his real mother and his own mother God knows where she is, Madhu felt bad for RK.

A person so rich, so handsome, so powerful yet deep inside he's just like a child who needs love and care. She was missing him already, it was definitely not so easy to sleep peacefully after what had happen just few hours back.

She was still thinking when she heard her phone ringing...

"Hello"

She didn't heard anyone on the other side...
