Chapter 52

Madhu had been waiting for Dr Shah as the patient tried to respond a little. The sign was good as she wanted her patient to recover as soon as possible.

Madhu felt sad looking at her patient lying on the bed from so many years, looking at her hands she could make out that she must be really beautiful in her young days... her face seemed to resemble when Madhu observed carefully caressing her hair.

"I must find who you are. You are not only my patient but my biggest test for all these years of my medical practice"

She was glad with the movement of her hands...

Going through her files she was astonished to see that Ma was with the monks who looked after her all these years but how did she reach there and why were they helping her, Madhu had no clue.

She was still doing her file work when she received a call from inspector Arjun that she had been given a permission to meet Devyani in jail next week for few minutes.

"That's so good. Thanks inspector...there are lots of conundrums that need to be cracked"

RK shouldn't know about her meeting with Devyani as he may stop her from meeting her. But she wants to know something about RK's mother that only Devyani would know. She felt sad that all these years RK was away from his own mother and Devyani kept using him under her wings... "What a disgusting woman" Madhu murmured ...

Madhu looked at the time, it was already late but she didn't hurry to leave as RK would be at his late night shoot. It would be lonely without him she wondered. She thought of calling him but he didn't answer...

Madhu received a call from her sister... instantly she picked up

"Ridhi, I can't believe it's you"

"How are you Madhu?"

"I miss you all, I will come soon to meet you. Actually I was coming but some incident happened so,"

"Ok, we are arranging Papa's birthday party, will you come?"

"Of course I will."

"Just let RK know, you both have to come."

Madhu smiled "I will and I am so excited, we will be celebrating Papa's birthday after a long time. Last year was bad..."

"Don't worry Madhu. Now just come soon...bye take care"

"Bye Ridhu"

Madhu smiled as if her life was filled up with happiness, ever since from childhood she had been enjoying on her Father's birthday and today after a long time she would meet her family back...

Quickly she packed her stuff and headed off for home... she called RK few times but the phone wasn't answered. She knew he must be busy but he won't be late than midnight.

She quickly sent him a text

I am reaching home, come soon

As she reached home she felt quite uneasy as if she wasn't comfortable, none of the servants were around. Except for the watchman she last saw at the gate, but that wouldn't bother her much as the servants must be doing some house hold chores.
