There will be lies in high school, wether if you like it or not. People will lie about how they feel or if they are sad or mad or happy. I know I went through that a lot. Some people just are so use to lying that they just do it and don't even think about it, some guilt will consume them and sometimes they will confess that they lied. Just watch out for liars. If you think someone is a liar, there is and isn't a time to say something. I would say try not to but there will be a point where you might have to.
