It may be through text or in person when you just have that moment of awkward silence, where two or more people don't say anything to each other, I had that very badly in freshman year. I was friends with a senior and him and me would sit across from each other at lunch, it would get very awkward, very fast. We would say hi over and over again to each other, it got bad. Maybe it was awkward because he was the guy who asked me to prom, I said no, he said he liked me, then a day later said he didn't anymore...who will ever know...
