Wattpad updates

When I head down to meet the update at the diner, I have a bounce in my step. I'm pretty jazzed to see the guy. This is new, admitting these feelings to myself, but it's good. I feel good.

But when I see him through the restaurant window, I notice he's not alone. He's flashing that Cheshire Cat grin at...another note? And it's not just any old note - it's an android note. Yeah, you know the type. All bells and whistles and screens with curves in all the right places. Stepping back,I dial his number. There has to be an explanation. I see him briefly check his phone and put it back in his pocket, the weasel. His voicemail speaks to me instead:

"You've reached update 6.10.0!" His deep honey voice pours in my ear. "In this release you'll find: 'because you searched for' recommendations are now in home,iPads and iPhones now have the same bottom reader toolbar. Story shares on Pinterest now show a sneak peek at the story description, and we got rid of that pesky app crash if you tried to undo what you last wrote. Got questions? Comments? I hang up before the beep and,as if on cue, the sky splits open with hammering rain. I immediately ask Siri to point me to the nearest watering hole and then ask myself, "are feelings only for fools?"
