BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!
We went to the Quidditch match and actually had seats right next to the Finnigans, Fleur was part of the Bulgarian opening act. The game was over and we all apparated home, unlike most fans, we decided to leave right after the first game, good thing too! It was overrun with death eaters.
Tomorrow was Neville's Birthday and I had the perfect gifts for him. I had gotten him a few new plants and a greenhouse that was shrinkable, allowing him to carry all of his plants with him, rather than getting mad when his Gran killed one.
~~~TIME SKIP TO THE BEGINNING OF FOURTH YEAR JUST BEFORE THE DANCING LESSON~~~
I loved to dance, and McGonagall told me that there was going to be a ball and wanted me to attend the dance practice. I was psyched! Neville, Seamus, Bella and I had a free period before and I brought my radio and warmed up, Neville isn't a modern dancer, he's more of a slow dancer. I had a playlist set up on my ipod of some of my favorite dance music:
Footloose and Thriller just being two of the top ones. I had my dance clothes on and was warming up to Footloose. Neville sat and watched me and I kept dancing, Seamus and Bella joined in and we didn't realise that everyone in Gryffindor was coming in the room until Neville pulled my earbuds out. I flushed and went to sit, that is until McGonagall stopped me.
"Miss Delacour will be helping me in this lesson, you are to treat her with the utmost respect and gratitude, Gryffindor is the only house she will be giving lessons to. Every Thursday until you get this you will be here. The Yule Ball-" she continued for five minutes and then had everyone pair off. Neville came to me and Seamus went to Bella, before i knew it, we were dancing, we took a break and that's when Neville asked me a question
"Chloe, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked
"Yes!!" I yelled jumping into his arms
"This is a stupid question, but will you go to the Yule Ball with me aswell?" He asked
"Yes." I said
Seamus walked us to Ron and held out his hand, into it Ron placed four galleons and said
"Jeez, Neville has a Yule Ball date AND a girlfriend before any of us!" He said
We all laughed and Seamus asked Bella to the Ball, she was just as happy as I had been when I was asked.
We went to dinner and sat with Fleur, Xael, and Gabrielle.
Xael spoke first.
"I don't have anyone to go with." she said in a pouty tone
"Well, I may have the perfect guy for you to go with. Be right back." I said walking over to the Slytherin table where Oliver was.
"Ollie!" I squealed startling him out of his conversation with Theodore Nott and Draco Malfoy.
"What?" He asked
"Come 'ere." I said
"What?" He asked again
"JUST COME HERE!" I whisper yelled
"Fine." He said following me back to the girls
"Xael, this is Oliver." I said
"Hey." said Xael not looking up from her book, typical Ravenclaw
"XAEL!" I yelled, her head snapped up and she looked at Oliver, her black framed glasses slid down her nose and she sat gaping at him.
"Earth to Xael?" I asked snapping my fingers in her face
"Hello Oliver." She said
"Hello." He said
"Don't you still need a Yule ball date oliver?" I asked through clenched teeth
"I guess." He said shrugging
I kicked him hard in the shin and nodded discreetly at Xael and his mouth formed an O.
They chatted for a while and my sisters and I were about ready to leave when he asked her.
"Xael, you seem like a really fun girl, so will you go to the Yule Ball with me?" He asked
"Sure." she said
"Well, we best be off, Xael we have special permission for you to stay over tonight." I said
"Ok." She said getting up "Bye Oliver." She said
I started walking away and yelled over my shoulder, "Bye Ollie!!"
