Jason Walked into April's second grade class room to see a young woman sitting at her desk, working on papers.  Clearing his throat he stepped further in to the room. When she looked up recognition hit like a ton of bricks. “Amy?”

Amy recognized Jason but the confusion on her face was obvious. “Jason, what are you doing here?”

Before he could answer April poked her head out from behind him “Hi Miss Keller. This is my dad.”

“Miss Keller? That explains why I didn't know that Jeff’s baby sister was April’s teacher.”  Jason said after recovering from his shock.

Amy smiled at Jason then April then said “Kellerman was too much for the kids so I shortened it to Keller. And I didn't know this little lady was your daughter. I thought she looked familiar. So I take it you are here about the issue with Kayla?”

She got up from her desk and walked over to greet them.  Then showed them to a corner where there were some chairs set up. “We did try to call you at home but were unable to reach you. I have already put in a call to her parents explaining that her and her brother behavior was not acceptable and that they had better make it clear to their children that it will not be tolerated. And that if it happened again they will be held accountable.”

“The phone issue is being taken care of today. Do you know if there is a reason behind the behavior or was it just because April is the new girl?” Jason asked

“It has to do with Kayla is usually the center of attention in class for some reason. And when April showed up, she was new so therefore the kids were curious and focused more on April then Kayla. So instead of understanding that it was ok to not be the center of attention for a while she retaliated using her big brother.” Amy explained. “Principle Bowman and I have already talked and hopefully the situation is being resolved.”

As if on cue a man in his early thirties maybe, in a suit, walked into the classroom looking at a file and talking. “Amy, I know you said you talked to Kayla yesterday but did you also talk to Alden or where you going to let Sarah take care of that.”

Standing up Amy said “Nate, I had not got to Alden. I was going to do it today and was going to talk to you about it.” Obviously he still hadn't realized that someone was in the room with them because he still hadn't looked up from his file. “Nate Bowman this is Jason Johnson. He is April's father”

Nate looked up and obviously forced a smile on his face. Sticking out his hand he walked toward Jason as he stood. “Hello Mr. Johnson. I am sorry for the inconvenience of the situation. We are working hard to make sure it gets resolved quickly. “He said pumping Jason's hand a couple time.

Nate then looked at Amy and said “I will have Sarah talk to him sense he is her student. Are you ok with that?”

“Sure Nate. That's kind of what I wanted to talk to you about.”  Turning to Jason she said “So if you want you can leave April here sense school starts in about five minutes. And Jason I am really sorry about this I hope things get resolved.”

Jason looked down at April and then back at Amy “That sounds like a good idea.” Then squatting down to April's level he said to her “I will see you tonight ok princess?” After she nodded he gave her a hug and got up to leave.

As he reached the door Amy called to him “And Jason...” She waited till he turned back to her. Then she smiled and said “It's nice to see you back around this part of town.”

“Thank you Amy” He replied then walked out the door.

When Jason walked into the office twenty minutes later he asked his secretary, Stacy, to get the phone company on line for him.  Another twenty minutes later he made arrangements to have them come out to the house after Caroline got there for April.  Which meant calling Caroline, to make sure she knew what was going on.
