Mackenzie's POV -

August 5, 2016

Today felt like it was going to be a good day. I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside of my bedroom window. My eyes glanced over to the alarm clock that read 9:36am. I quickly got up from my bed and got dressed into some clothes (picture) then grabbed my phone and walked across the hall to enter the bathroom.

Once I walked into the bathroom, I went into the drawer to grab my makeup bag. Now since I wasn't really planning on doing anything today, I just put on some eyeshadow, BB cream to cover up my acne and some mascara. And as for my hair, I just brushed it then put it up into a messy ponytail. Once I was done, I put on some deodorant, sprayed some perfume on myself and walked out of the bathroom.

As my feet led me downstairs, I could smell the lovely aroma of my grandma's chocolate chip pancakes. "Feel free to take as many as you want," my grandma said when I walked in the kitchen. I grabbed a plate then tossed a few on there and drizzled syrup all over them.

Since I haven't really been getting very much fresh air lately, I decided to go on a walk around the neighbourhood. As I walked down the driveway, I noticed that the house for sale across the street had been sold and that there was a moving truck parked in the driveway. I kept looking over there to see if I could get a glance at who was moving in. A lady walked out with blonde hair and she looked like she was the mom, then there was a really small kid who looked 9 or 10, and another boy who looked a year or so younger and that's all I saw. But as I walked pass, a boy who looked about my age walked out and was helping bring stuff inside. He was actually really cute to be honest. But as soon as he caught the sight of me, he didn't look away until I was gone. Who knows what could've been going on in his mind.
