Mackenzie's POV-

August 8th, 2016

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," the boy said. He put out his hand in motion to help me get up. I grabbed it and felt the warmth of his fingers in mine. "It's totally good, don't worry about it," I said with a smile. "My name is Hunter, nice to meet you," he said. "I'm Mackenzie but you can call me Mack if you want," I replied. Well Mack, I'll see you around," he said and walked out. Wow, he's really nice, I thought to myself. I then heard the bell ring so I quickly walked over to a desk.

My teacher just talked for the majority of the time about having to stay organized, always have our work done and be prepared for each class or else bad things will happen. I took a quick glance over to where Hunter was sitting and he was looking at me. Oh god, I thought. "Psst, Mackenzie," he whispered. I looked over. "Hunter, no talking," the teacher said. "Sorry," I heard his voice say. I took another glance over at him and he was trying to get me to look at him. There was a piece of paper in his hand and he was about to toss it at me. The teacher turned to the board and Hunter threw it at me. It landed directly on my desk and I opened it. It said:

Text me when you get home today :)

I looked over at him and nodded. He smiled. I then quickly stuffed the note inside my pocket before my teacher could see.

Maybe this was a chance for something good to happen. Who knows?
