Hunter's POV-
August 8th 2016
Mackenzie led me down a trail into the woods. She honestly was the prettiest girl I've ever seen. But I'm too nervous to tell her. And plus we just met so it would be kinda weird. I followed in her footsteps down a long muddy path that was surrounded by tall oak trees. She stopped for a second then looked back at me with a smile on her face. "You ready?" she said. "Been ready this entire time," I replied.
Mackenzie walked forward and moved a wall of leaves out of the way while I followed. It was so beautiful. The lush green grass, the birds chirping, the smell of flowers. It was so pretty.
Mackenzie's POV-
I turned around to look at Hunter and he was in awe. It truly was so pretty here and I used to come here everyday when I was younger.
I walked over to the stumps I used to sit on. Hunter sat on the one next to me. "So, I really don't know that much about you," he said. "I don't think you want to," I laughed. "I do haha, tell me some stuff," he said. "Well, I was born on November 2nd in Anaheim. My dad died from cancer when I was 4 and my mom died in a car crash when I was 7. I was bullied practically my whole life through elementary school then I met this guy who instantly became my best friend and he stuck up for me for everything," I said cheerfully, "But then he got in a car accident in Grade 6," my voice softened. I was about to burst into tears. "Mackenzie.. I'm sorry," Hunter said. "Don't worry abo-," my voice cracked and the tears came streaming down my face. Hunter got up and pulled me into a hug that lasted forever. "Mackenzie, don't worry. You have me now. I'll protect you from everything and anything that comes your way. I'll listen to all your problems and imagine as if they were my own to help you. I'll bring you ice cream at midnight if that's what'll cheer you up," he said. I laughed a little. "Thank you," I said, "Thank you so much."
