This book is under major editing so please excuse any grammar mistakes or typos. Please do not be rude because I am still young and this is my very first book. You will know if the chapter is edited if it says so on top.
I also would like to thank the lovely emilycsea for being an amazing person and helping me edit all the chapters :)

//EDITED//
My legs are aching, my hands feel like they're about to fall off, and my eyes are so heavy that I think I might pass out.
"Stupid Mrs. Henson," I curse under my breath.
All my misery and pain is caused by that devil. She couldn't have just given me the promotion based on my past working experience. Nope, she just has to make me walk around the whole damn city just to get "the one story" and after I do find it, she has to make sure it really is "one of a kind".
"Oh, I will show her one of a kind," I mutter.
The city is just as busy as this morning, even though it's past nine. The lights are still on, and cars are zooming past roads to get to places. Kids are holding onto their parents, stopping every time they pass by a toy or candy shop.
I guess the city never sleeps.
As I walk through the busy streets, I hold my Canon EOS M Camera close to my chest. My prize possession, and the only camera I have right now . If I lose this I can't afford another one, and I would basically lose my job.
I seriously need this promotion.
Wanting to be home before it gets any darker I walk through an alley as a short cut. It's dark and creepy, so I pick up my pace. Just as I have almost reached the main road leading to my apartment, a high-pitched scream echoes through the alley. Most people would keep walking – heck, they would run home, but me? I stop dead in my tracks. The scream comes again and it sounds like a young woman. Again, being a non-normal human, I turn and walk towards the screams.
What the hell am I doing?
Obviously I want to die.
Shut up!
Great, now I am talking to myself. I have officially gone crazy.
The women screams again, but this time it sounds closer.
'Too close,' I think, shivering.
The next thing I see makes my blood turn cold. Two men in black are holding a bloody woman by the elbow. The men have blood scattered over their bodies, but I doubt it's theirs. They both look so emotionless, like holding a dying woman isn't a new thing for them.
My eyes go to the woman, her clothes are torn apart, and her hair is covered in blood, making it stick to her face. She is soaking in blood from head to toe, and there is a small puddle beneath her as well. She must be no more than twenty-five, and when I look into her eyes, I see defeat. How she is still alive from all the blood loss I will never know.
"We did warn you, Miss. Collins."
I flinch at the sound of that cold, deep voice. Turning, I see a man in a black suit, pointing a gun towards the poor woman.
"Any last words?" he asks..
The woman looks up, staring at the man holding a gun to her head. She looks different now, more confident and proud. There is no trace of defeat or regret. The way she stares at him, directly in the eyes, makes it look like she is daring him to shoot.
"You can kill us all. You can torture us. You can make us fall in fear, but you won't find it nor the girl! Black won't succeed, he won't!"
With that, the man fires.
The bullet goes straight through her forehead, killing her instantly. The other two men drop her to the ground, as the man in the suit tells them to dispose of the body.
My mind is screaming at me to run, but I can't move my legs. All I can think about is that woman, and how she was killed right in front of me.
