Chapter 5: Celebrating
Clariss
He did it. He finally did it. He proposed. I wasn’t really expecting it, but deep down I knew he wanted to. Lately, he was giving me all these signs. I was simply glad it had happened. It was now listed in one of my favorite memories of all time. The day my one and only love proposed to me. I just loved him to bits! When he entered the classroom, his eyes focused on me all the time. I heard how some girls drooled over him. Comments such as ‘aww’, ‘this is so cute’, ‘he is so hot’ were all coming out of girl’s mouths. I honestly could not blame them, if I was in their position I would too drool over him. I smiled at the thought of how blessed I was to have such a gentleman. Never had Asa disrespected me in any rude or harmful way.
My heart raced, he kept talking, his eyes glued to mine. My knees wobbled the moment he said my name. Everyone who knew me by name turned to face me, while those who didn’t tried and searched me. I walked to him, his eyes still glued to mine. As soon as I got there he got on one knee and proposed. My eyes filled with tears, my heart filled with joy. For the first time in my life, without words I was. There was definitely no other choice than to kiss him. And we did, we kissed. People applauded to us.
Luckily, The professor let me off the hook. He gave me an opportunity to go and celebrate. Asa fixed in his tux with Aramis and I were now in the car heavens know where we were going. That was the most exciting thing. That it was unknown. Like life. Always the unexpected will be better than the expected. My mother had always told me that. I was glad she did because it was.
We soon arrived to a hotel suite after Asa dropped off Aramis at their motel room. The hotel suite was spacious enough to live there! I had no idea what Asa was doing. He had grocery bags on the table and he seemed to be in a rush. I walked up to him.
“Asa darling, what are you doing?” I asked him
he turned to look at me and said, “Love, I am cooking for you tonight.” He winked
“Asa, I love you.” I simply said
“I love you too.” He said
I went up to the couch and fell asleep. Soon, I was dreaming off in another world.

I woke up to the soothing sound of Asa’s voice. His kiss on my forehead also seemed to wake me up. I sat down and rubbed my eyes. What time was it? 4 o’clock! What?!
I stood up to see an overly fancy dinner. Chicken, vegetables, mashed potatoes. My stomach grumbled at the sight of it. Asa standing next to a chair came towards me, took my hand and gently took me to my seat.
“My lady.” He said
I smiled.
He sat down, and held up his drinking glass, and cheered.
