Chapter 6- Healing A Broken Heart

Vic's Pov:

"And he just left." Luna says while staring out the large glass windows. We were sitting on the floor leaning against her bed and looking out the large window that went from the ceiling to the floor.  

"I all of a sudden was single and he didn't even tell me what I did wrong." her voice breaks and she scrunches her nose up to keep herself from crying.

"In a blink of an eye I was single. I was left alone. I by myself had to figure out how to fix the pain I was feeling. The feeling of your heart being ripped out of your chest. The feeling of yourself breaking. The feeling of your world falling and crashing apart. The feeling of disbelief because someone who knows your deepest secrets, your darkest thoughts, your worst insecurities has just left you. He's left you and has left everything behind. But still he took with him the scariest thing you can imagine. He's took your heart and all your secrets with him. And now he has all of that information. And he could do ANYTHING with it. He could destroy the little part of you that you have left."

Luna finishes telling me about Ben and her past relationship with him. All of a sudden I understand. I understand why she was the last to answer the email. I understand why she wanted to get out of that ice cream shop. I understand why she was so broken. 

"Vic?" she whispers to me in a small voice. 

I look up to her and all of a sudden I feel tears forming in my own eyes.

"Please don't cry." she says to me and wipes a tear that was traveling down my cheek. I can't believe someone so sweet and innocent as Luna has had to go through so many things. 

"How?" I manage to croak out.

"How what?" she says wiping another tear.

"How are you here? How did you put up with everything and put everything aside that has happened to you?" I reply. 

"Well..." she pauses, "I had to realize that sometimes we have to do what's best for ourselves even if it's tough to do.  And Natalie helped me realize that." she smiles a little bit. 

I stare into her eyes. They are still are red but somehow her eyes still shine that icy blue shade. 

"Luna?" 

"Yes?" 

"Will you be my girlfriend?" I ask.

She grins a little but doesn't answer. It makes me nervous. Finally after a minute she whispers,

"Yes." 

I pull her into a hug. 

"Do you want to go into the living room and eat the ice cream?" I ask.

She frowns a little. 

"But isn't it melted by now?" she replies.

"I put it in the fridge. The only reason it wouldn't be there is if one of the dummies AKA Jaime or Mike ate it." I answer her.

She giggles and I stand up and help her up. Before we walk out of the room I pull her into another hug. I whisper into her ear,

"Darling you'll be okay"

Natalie's Pov:  

Luna comes into the house with tears pouring down her face. Before I can say anything she runs to her room. Everyone turns to me expecting an explanation. 

"How am I supposed to know?!?!" I growl. I then stand up to go after her but then Vic comes through the door. He also looks stressed but it doesn't look like he's been crying. The whole room goes silent.
