Chapter 13- Never Leaving

18 hours later 1:45 am Luna's Pov:

I wake up suddenly and end up gasping for breath. It's dark in the room except for a light over my head that is blinding me I see Vic get up and turn on the light to the room and come over to me.

"It's okay Luna deep breathes. I'll be right back okay?" He says and I nod. He then rushes to the door and calls for a doctor. After a few seconds a doctor comes in. Vic comes in and sits in a chair on one side of my bed and the doctor stands on the other side.

"Hi I'm Doctor Lane I've been taking care of you during your stay." He says to me.

"H-how long have I been here?" I say in a low and groggy voice.

"Since a little before nine yesterday morning. You were severely beaten. Then person who did this to you was about to kill you when the police shot him and he died." The doctor tells me.

"Ben is dead?" I say shock fills my words.

"Yes now you broke a rib we did surgery and now I just need to see how it's doing." he says and pulls my hosptial gown up. I gasp as I see my bruised body and the stitches covering part of my lungs. Vic takes my hand and rubs my palm with his thumb.

"Alright everything seems to be going just as it should. You can leave in the morning but be sure to take it easy at home. Come back in a week to get your stitches out." he says then shakes my hand and walks out. Vic smiles at me like a idiot. I roll my eyes and groan.

"I thought I was going to die." I say referring to the letter.

"Doesn't matter you still said those things."He says.

"So?" I say still staring at the ceiling.

"So......will you?" he says with a hint of mischievous in his voice.

"Will I what?" I say still staring at the ceiling.

"Will you marry me?" He says I jerk my head up and look at him. He he's on one knee holding a box that holds the most beautiful engagement ring I've ever seen. It has a gold ring part with diamonds going around it and one big diamond in the middle.

"Yes yes yes!" I say he puts the ring on my finger and hugs me and kisses me. He sits down in his chair next to me and I see Natalie in the doorway with my camera smiling like cheshire cat.

"This was planned??" I say.

"Well as of last night yes I mean I got the ring before all of this happened but I didn't know when I was going to do it. So I grabbed it on the way out and told Natalie about it and now here we are. I didn't know I was going to propose at 2 in the morning but it felt like the right time." Vic says.

"Well I didn't know I was going to be proposed to in a hospital." I say. Vic smiles and then pecks me on the lips again.

"So how are you feeling?" Natalie asks while sitting down in the chair on the other side of my bed.

"Well mentally happy because I'm engaged to the person I'm in love with." Vic blushes"But physically I'll admit I'm in a lot of pain." I say. Vic frowns. I pull my gown up and I show Natalie my chest. She gasps and curiously reaches to touch my stitches. But I stop her.

"NATALIE PIPER BROOKE!" I scream at her and some nurses look at me from outside the window.

"Luna Sara May" Natalie says back to me and smirks.

"What in the world makes you think that's a good idea?" I say and she shrugs. I pull down my gown and Vic starts laughing a lot.

"What's so funny Fuentes?" Natalie asks I snicker. I love when she calls him Fuentes.
