Before He knew anything it was over. He was wrapped up with a broken nose. There were a few cracks and breaks here and there but the worst thing was a single broken rib. When they left that day His mom was beyond pissed at him. The whole car ride to Their grandma's was silent. When they got there she stopped him from getting out of the car
"Alex. What caused the fight?" He blinked at her a few times afraid to lie to her but he knew he would break her heart if he told her the truth.
"No reason. I did deserve it though." Alex tried to play it off. Hoping his mom would see his side of things.
"No Alex. I need to know." She locked the doors. The turned to him with that mom look on her face.

"Mom I owed some guys little sister a little bit of money. He didn't like that so he beat the hell outta me and I payed her back every dime I owed her." His mother frowned sighing.
"Alex. I don't know what the hell I'm gonna do to you. How much money was it?" She started getting annoyed.
"It was only like fifteen" He said trying to play the truth a little bit. She sighed
"fifteen? Fifteen what?" he sighed. He didn't want her to know but also couldn't bring himself to lie to her.
"fifteen-hundred" He mumbled knowing she would hear. Her jaw dropped her eyes widened. She didn't understand how he got that deep with out her noticing, but somehow he managed it.
"How in the Hell did you ever manage to do that?!"She shouted at him. Alex nearly jumped out of his skin from fear of what she was about to do to him.
"Blackmail..." He trailed off She slapped him upside the head.
"ALEXANDER WARREN CAPELLA IF I EVER HEAR YOU'VE BEEN BLACKMAILING AGAIN I SWEAR I'LL KICK YOUR ASS" Alex nodded
"I know. I'm sorry ma' I didn't think it through, but ma' Money is power and power is never innocent" She rolled her eyes
"Alex you're starting to sound crazy. " He looked at the ground. He wasn't crazy was he? No. Just ahead of the curb a little bit.
     "I'm sorry." She nodded
"Don't you disrespect you're grandma or I'll personally beat the shit outta you. After she does" The two got out of the small car.
"I won't ma' She's blood" They both started walking into the nice little country style house. The porch had a 'Beware of the wife' Sign on it

"I forgot to mention. My dad's here too. You're actually a lot like him" Alex smiled. That just sounded like a good thing to him. The way she said it just made it sound like a good thing. When they finally entered the house. When he came in the room was silent. An older woman that you would never know was older than 30 unless you looked at her style which looked straight out of the 20s. She had wavy brown hair and fair skin. The only other person in the room that he didn't know was a man, He was tall and somewhat built, with not a muscular body but more of a farmers body with the tan to match. His shaggy hair and slight facial hair where he must have forgotten to shave that morning. His grandmother was the first to greet him
"Oh Alex you finally made it. Would you like something to drink?" He was baffled to see that she had no signs of being sad at all even though her son just got slaughtered.
"do you have any pop?" She nodded
"Pepsi or mountain dew?" She asked, His grandpa looked like he could be 25 He even kept with the style.  What is up with these two. They look like they went and found the flipping fountain of youth while she was picking him up.

"Mountain dew please." He looked around the room looking for anyone else. There was nobody and nothing not the haunting of a single mouse there was no presence of any sort like there where in most places. He'd been to a few though where there were no shades. She handed him the chilled green can and her fingers brushed his. The cold of her hand sent a chill all the way down his spine. Probably just that new person feel. I sat down in the living room as far as I could put myself from my brother. I low-key listened to mom's conversations with Grandma and Grandpa for a little while. Then all of a sudden around 10 she told Max and I to go to bed. For absolutely no reason.
