Once Emileas eyes got glossy, I instantly wrapped my arms around her.
"Hey, its gonna be okay. Maybe we can make long distance workout. I could always come visit on breaks and stuff. Please don't cry Em." I begged.
She just looked up at me with sad eyes as two tears rolled down her cheeks.
"We can try, but please visit as often as you can. I-I think that I love you Derek."
Those words hit me like a truck.
Love.
I didn't say anything for the first few seconds until my brain finally processed it all.
"I think I love you too Em; and I swear to you that I am going to visit you as often as possible. My mom also said she wanted you to come over for diner tonight, so that she can meet the girl who changed me." I finally got the words out if my mouth.
"I'll be there. Now you better get home and start packing. Your mom needs all the help she can get." Em said kissed my cheek.
"I'll pick you up at 7, just text me your address; see you tonight beautiful. Bye guys, I'll see you later."
Peter and Johnathan said bye and I headed home.
I packed most of my room and decided to get ready for diner.
