I looked at myself in the mirror. Here's to another day as a reporter for the Daily Planet. "Megan, welcome back. I take it the vacation went well?" "It went fine Lois." I smiled at her and she smiled back. I sat down at my desk, logging into my computer and retrieving what I was working on from last time. "Megan, your back?" Perry asked. "Well, of course Perry. I had to come back at some point. You didn't think I would be on vacation forever, did you?" "No. How was it?" "It was fine. Got stuff done that needed to be done and that's it." I shrugged. "Awesome. Well get back to your job. And keep up the good work. I may just have to make you Assistant Editor-In-Chief." I smiled as he walked away. Lois nudged me. "He has his eye on you for that position Megan." She whispered. "Really?" I whispered back. She nodded. "Oh Megan!" "Yes Perry?" "I want you to go down to Gotham and interview Bruce Wayne." I nodded. "On it sir." I grabbed my stuff and went to catch a flight to the airport. Bruce is one of the only people I can trust. Other than Lois obviously. He and I are really great friends.
Text Convo:
M: Hey Bruce, it's me. My boss wants me to come down to Gotham to interview you. Is that okay?
B: Well of course! You're welcome to come down here anytime you want! x
M: Thanks! Hopping on a flight now. Should be there soon. xx
I put my phone into my purse and tucked it away next to me as I watched the plane ascend into the sky. Bruce knows my secret and so does Lois, and Martha. Clark's mom.
About an hour later, I get off my flight and step into Gotham Airport. Alfred is holding up a sign and I walk towards him. "Right this way, Ms. Rae. How was your flight?" "Very nice, Alfred. Thank you." He smiled and opened the car door for me and got in. Off to Bruce's house.
