When I thought about how I would end up in life, this would have been the last thing that came to mind. The life style hit me like a thousand needles stabbing me; and if we're
being perfectly honest, I don't think it bothered me.I was never the most popular person at my old school, so moving didn't give me high expectations. I was going into my last year of high school. Get in, Finish the year, get out. That's all I had to do and then I'd be free to live my own life, away from all the bullshit my parents raised to believe. My parents and I have never gotten along, I was raised in a freak show of a religious house, so you can imagine their reaction when I told them I preferred boobs over lube. As soon as they laid eyes on my girlfriend we packed up and moved 3 states over for a "fresh start". Sometimes I think my parents would rather have heard me admitted to selling my body for money than admitting to being a lesbian.
It was the first day of school, I didn't wear anything that would make me stand out. Causing attention to myself was the last thing I wanted to do. Friends, let alone a girlfriend, did not fit into my plan for this year. I was in a plain light blue shirt, black skinny jeans and my hair was up in a ponytail.
I walked to the office and awkwardly stood there while the secretary went about to find my time table. Eventually it ended up in my hands, I briefly scanned over it and waited for my guid that was assigned to assist me through out the day. 2 painfully long minutes later I looked up due to a girl speaking to me. Now if someone told me that my life was about to change forever just by looking at this girl I probably would have ran, but as soon as I looked up, let me tell you I was glad I didn't. In front of me was a tallish girl with hair that looked softer than a blanket, eyes that were filled with stars and smelled heavenly. I probably looked like freak for staring so long but I could help it. This girl was a masterpiece.
"Hi there, are you alright? You've been staring for quite some time" she said giggling a little bit at the end
I stared for another good two seconds before nervously answering "oh, um....yeah I'm alright, just like you know, ha ha" I silently cursed at myself for the awkward respond
"Haha no problem! My names hannah, and you're Emma, right?" She ask with a questioning ton at the end
I silently nodded to confirm. Not even a second later she was dragging me up a flight of stairs explaining to me where each class was.
When we arrived at my first class I thanked her and smiled, and just as I was about to walk in she turned to me and said something that made my face go bright red.
"Don't worry cutie, I'm flattered with your sense of nervousness around me, you aren't to bad yourself" and with that she winked at me and walked away.
