Lunch wasn't too bad actually, Hannah introduced me to her two friends. They were both very intrigued by me for some reason. They gave me hints that led me to believe Hannah didn't often invite others to sit with them.
As I was eating my lunch box sandwich I noticed non of the other girls were eating, which was kind of strange to me, but I didn't want to look like a weirdo so I quickly put my lunch back in my bag. Just as I was about to zip it up Hannah stopped me. "Why are you packing up your lunch? You looked hungry" she much have caught on and quickly followed her last remark with "we already went out to eat haha, please don't feel you need to follow us, I want you to feel welcomed and shit" she said in an enthusiastic but questioning voice.
With that I opened my bag right back up and begin to chow down on the rest of my sandwich.
After lunch Hannah showed me to my last class, on my way in the door she stopped me and déjà vu from the morning occurred.
"So I think you're pretty cool, and since you just moved here I was wondering if you wanted to go out and let me show you around the wonderful city of Columbus" she said with a smile.
I quickly remembered my rules for this year yet decided to go completely against them and accept the offer with quick nod and smile.
"Okay perfect! I'll meet you at the front of the school after the last bell" and with that she disappeared into the swarm of teenagers.
The end of the day was near and I would lying if I said I wasn't a bit nervous, this girl intrigued me and I wanted to get to know her, but then again, I really knew nothing about her. She could be a murderer for all I know. My thoughts were interrupted by the bell. I packed up all my stuff and made my way to the front of the school.
5 minutes later I was still waiting, and then 10, and then 15. I knew this was a bad idea, I bet the whole thing was a trick just to embarrass me or something. I started to walk home when I heard someone yell my name, I turned and was faced with Hannah running towards me.
"Emma, hey wait up. Sorry I took so long I had to um...take care of some things. Any way follow me" I did as I was told, we came to a stop when we were in front of what I assumed was her car. "Are you going to get in or just stand there all day" I blushed a little at her remark and went about hopping in the front seat and sending my mom a quick text saying I was going to be a bit late.
Her car had a strange smell to it. I couldn't put my finger on what it was, it wasn't a bad smell, if I'm being honest I liked it quite a lot. It was just different. I realized that we had been driving for sometime now and started to wonder where she was taking me. I got pulled out of my thoughts when the car stopped. I looked out the window to see we were stopped right in front of the woods. All of a sudden another car pulled up and out came the two girls from lunch with big grins on their faces.
Oh god, what have I gotten myself into.
