Holly's POV
Lauren's alarm startled me. I jumped and looked around, confused. The clock on my bedside table read 5:00.
"What the hell? We have our first class at 8:00, we have three hours. Get some sleep."
"You'll thank me later when your on time to your class." Lauren replied, making her bed.
"Turn that thing off. I need at least nine hours of sleep to be bag-free." Kendal groaned.
Rowan seemed to sleep through the alarm and snoozed away.
I hauled myself out of bed and clambered clumsily to the three drawers I kept my clothes in. I selected Dfield's good vibes only shirt and a simple pare of white jean shorts. I changed quickly, my back facing everyone else.
I turned around to see that Kendal had fallen back asleep and that Lauren was wearing a plaid shirt and a black skirt. She was slipping on some white knee-length socks. After, Lauren proceeded to put her hair in a plain braid. She looked up at me. "Ready to head down to breakfast?"
"Dude, chill. It's just the first day." I replied, applying some mascara. I slipped on my white vans and brushed my hair, which takes forever. I'll leave it down today, I decided.
"I need to watch some YouTube first." I said as Lauren opened her mouth to speak.
"We have a whole one and a half hours of class time for that." Lauren said, dragging me to the door. She grabbed the room key and in a minute we were walking into the cafeteria.
It smelled of bacon, syrup, and eggs.
I decided to be simple and grabbed a box of cereal. I put it in a bowl and poured some milk over it. But the delicious smelled tempted me over to the pancakes so I grabbed two and drizzled some syrup on the side. I couldn't help taking a few pieces of bacon, too.
The cafeteria was nearly empty, considering it was 5:25 a.m. I walked over to a free table and in a few minutes Lauren walked over with a almost empty plate of eggs and fruit.
"Where's your food?" I asked, looking from her quarter filled plate to my bulging one.
"This is all I need." She replied simply.
"What?!" I exclaimed. "Hello? Is that a teenage girl in there? No, that makes sense."
"I don't need that much energy." Lauren took a bite of her eggs.
I sighed and started eating.
By the time we'd finished eating the cafeteria had filled a bit more.
Rowan walked in as we left.
"I can't stand that girl." She shuddered.
We were surprised by Kendal when we walked into our room. She was applying about all of the makeup the Kardashian family used in a month.
"Guess what YouTube videos she watches." I snorted to Lauren. "You guys should binge watch sometime.
She'd styled her golden hair into a braid that went across her head. It looked pretty but I wouldn't tell her that.
"Set your alarm for seven next time." She huffed, walking out of the room.
"Well." Lauren sighed. "I don't think I'll be watching any videos with her."
