We had the best time at the park that afternoon. We had walked around and managed to score a couple of dogs to pet. It seemed like we were talking for days....
It was almost time to close down the park and since Dan's apartment wasn't far, he had come walking. I however, had a long journey home. Well it was a 30 minute driving distance, but that's not the point.
"Thanks for driving me here" Dan grins under the streelight that makes his complection glow

"we should hang out more, I can't believe we put an end to our friendship for a silly thing"
"Yeah silly..."
"Well I um i didn't mean it like that Phil, I was young so I didn't know any better."
"Nonsense.... I regret my decision to this day" I spoke without consent and after a minute of silence we said our goodbyes as I started my car.
