Holy! Time Traveler?

She's Gone

* Dumbledore's office 1999*

Dumbledore: So you see boys she is perfectly safe with me in the past.

Harry: (fuming)You mean she is 22 years in the past where Voldemort is still alive!!

Dumbledore: Yes, but with her knowledge of how to defeat him we can do it before he has a chance to kill your parents and save thousands of innocent lives. you will have your parents, Neville will have his. and Cedric will live and you will never have to live with the Dursley's.

Ron: Sounds kind of nice to me harry. Plus Hermione will be able to come back. Right Headmaster? She will be able to come back?

Dumbledore: Yes. If she chooses to that is.

Harry: What do you mean "if she chooses too"?

Dumbledore: Some people who have time traveled as far as she has say that they nearly almost didn't come back because they liked it there better than the time they come from.

Ron: But sir if she stays in the past when September 19th 1979 comes won't she disappear since she will be being born again?

Dumbledore: Yes, and that is usually what snaps the time travelers back to reality and they decide to return home.

Harry: Ok, so if she does come back. When will that be?

Dumbledore: I don't know Harry all I do know is she has two years in the past to do what she was sent there to do and get back or she will disappear and who knows what damage that could do the people she interacts with in the past.

Harry: So there is nothing we can do? Why didn't we go back with her we could have helped.

Dumbledore: Because you two look so much like your families we would have a hard time hiding your true identity. With Hermione being Muggle-born no one will suspect anything. Now as there is absolutely nothing you boys can do at this time I must ask you to go back to the common room and go on about your daily routines and if someone should ask Miss Grangers whereabouts simply tell them she had a family emergency and she will return as soon as possible.

Ron: But sir she may not come back for two years if at all.

Dumbledore: You see! that's the amazing part of long distance time travel time goes by faster than in our time. two years for her should only be a few months in our world.

Harry: OK Headmaster but if something should go wrong you will tell us right?

Dumbledore: Yes Harry I made the mistake of keeping you in the dark once I wont do it again. especially when it comes to miss Granger.  Now goodbye.

Ron/Harry: bye.(leaves)
