Apocalypse spoilers

I sat on the cold floor of my glass cage, slowly pushing my small bed with the tip of my bare foot, listening to the old springs as they squeaked.

"Hear me, inhabitants of this world." A man's voice spoke from my mind, "A message to every man, woman and mutant. You have lost your way. But I have returned. The day of reckoning, it is here. All your buildings... All your buildings and temples... ... will fall. The dawn of a new era will emerge. For there is nothing you can do... to stop what is coming.
This message is for one reason alone. To tell the strongest among you...  Those with the greatest power- Protect those without. That's my message to the world."

I scanned the room from my place on the floor, expecting to see the source, expecting to see the man behind the voice, but my glass cage stood alone in the cold cement room.
I've been held here for so long, it's a miracle it's taken this long to lose my mind.
Movement filled the room as yellow lights and alarms rang.

"Where's it coming from?" I heard several men call out as they came in one door from the far right and left out the far left door.

"Intruders in quad 6." Another yelled, "Send a security team
and take them out."

I watched as men in uniforms ran past me with their weapons in hand, securing all the rooms, a few of them glancing my way. Seeing as I still sat in my prison, they moved on to the next room.
Distant gunfire and the screams of men echoed in the facility.

"Weapon X is loose." I heard many voices.

I stayed in place as the screams got closer, Weapon X -as they called him- drove his claws into several men as he entered the doorway, leaving them injured or worse.
I got to my knees, slowly getting to my feet, he only glanced at me before returning to his escape.

I rested the palm of my hand on the  glass, I've tried for years to get free, until finally giving up.

Several minutes passed, I paced in my cell, keeping an eye on both doors until an explosion rumbled through the cement.

"Jesus!" I heard a man's yell.

"Oh, sorry." I heard a second voice.

"This way!"

Seven of them ran in, most of them about my age.

"Wait. Hang on." The silver haired one spoke up as he saw me, making the others stop.

"We have to get her out." The older woman spoke to the others.

"She could be dangerous." The blue skinned one said.

"She doesn't look dangerous." The silver haired man scoffed.

"Get her out." The blonde girl ordered and the man with glasses stepped up, "Not you. You wanna blow a hole in her?"

I took a step back as the silver haired man suddenly stood before me, resting both hands on the thick glass, "Might want to take a few steps back." He smiled.

I did as I was told, the glass prison started to shake and crack. I glanced up at the shattering glass above me, I covered my neck and head as my cage broke to pieces, something I had dreamed of for years.

"Sorry!" He was suddenly at my side, "I just meant to break the first wall. I didn't think- yeah. Sorry. Let me help."

The next thing I knew my bare feet touched the cement floor with the rest of their group.

"Some rescue party." I spoke, my voice sounded scratchy and foreign as I glanced at their small group.

I walked the halls barefoot after their short introduction, most of them leading the way as Peter walked closely to my left and Moira to my right.

"I recognize you." I broke the silence as we walked down the hall, "It must years ago- in DC."

"Yeah. Ten years ago." Raven spoke.

"Ten years." I whispered under my breath.

"How long have you been here?" Moira spoke to me from my right.

"They found me a year and a half after what happened in DC." My voice sounded hollow, finally knowing how long I've been held prisoner.

"You've been here nine years?" Peter asked.

"Apparently." I glanced up at his dark eyes.

A group of fifteen men blocked our way, everyone around me got ready for a fight, Peter took a step in front of me as if guarding me from any danger.
I felt electricity build inside me, in the blink of an eye I sent the fifteen men backwards, crashing into the cement wall, with a bright flash of yellowing white. Each of them dead from a sudden surge of electricity to the chest.

"Holy shit." Scott's voice went up, "You killed them." He looked back at me as Peter moved out of the way.

"Damn, you've really got a hold on those powers huh?" Peter asked.

"Sure." I said, staring past him at the dead men on the floor.

We walked through the next doorway, the hall opened into a massive hanger.

"Nice." Scott admired the plane that sat peacefully in the center.

"Hey, Hank. Do you think you can fly this thing?" Raven called out.

"Yeah, I can figure it out." Hank answered. I walked slowly, looking at my surroundings as Peter shadowed me.

"Hey, guys." Scott pressed the side of a tall metal container, causing the front panel to lift, "Flight suits."

"You got your warplane." Raven spoke, "Let's go to war."
