For the rest of the week, Emily went to that Starbucks to do her work, hoping to run into Calum again. And every single day, she did. Every single day, Calum would ask her if he could sit with her, even on days when the cafe was empty. Every single day, Calum and Emily would attempt to concentrate on their work. Every single day, they would have mindless conversations until they went home for the day. They had become quite good friends, Emily had thought.
Wednesday night, Emily came home from Starbucks and plopped down onto her bed. Every day after trying to finish her work, she would come home and reward herself with a Netflix binge. She clicked on "New Girl", her favorite show. But instead of focusing on Schmidt's good look and charm, she found herself thinking of another dark haired boy.
Calum.
His name and his stifled giggles rang in her head. The way his eyes crinkled when he laughed really hard. The way he would constantly rubbed his eyes after reading so long. His goofy and mindless personality. The way he made her felt like they had been friends for years.
Emily quickly snapped herself out of those thoughts. They had only started talking a few days ago. She always got attached too fast. She needed to chill.
But throughout the rest of the night, Emily couldn't stop thinking about the dark-haired, brown eyed, dimpled boy. She lay in bed, thinking about the fact that she couldn't wait to see Calum again tomorrow, even though going to Starbucks to do homework was hell. Just his presence made her stomach feel funny.
Fuck. She had caught feelings for Calum Hood.
