Later During The Ceremony💚
Ky's P.O.V💭
"JaKya Eva James." The announcer spoke.
We all jumped and screamed, even though we weren't really suppose to, but we didn't care.
After graduation, J and Jas meet up with us and we also found Kya's momma.
"Congratulations sus!" I screamed as I saw Kya walk up to us.
"Thank you hunty! Oh Lord I'm hot. All these people all in one area man!" She said.
"Ma!!!" I heard Jas scream.
"Hey my baby!" Kya said while kissing her cheek.
"I'm ready to eat!" Jas said.
"Hold on Pooh, lets take a few photos then we will get grub."
"Yes!"
While we waited for Kya to take more photos with her family I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turnt around to see Dani.
She spoke first, "Wassup?"
I just looked at her. We really haven't spoke since Valentines. "Hi."
"I didn't come here on no bullshit, I came to congratulate Kya. I just want to say I'm sorry about everything I said about you Ky. I was way out of line. And I'm sorry about what I had to say about you too Drew."
I thought for a minute. Dani is my girl, I can't let that one petty ass argument get in between what we got. "I forgive you sus. Your niece is going to need you in her life." I said as I grabbed her hand and placed it on my growing belly.
"Awe. Hey TT's baby." She spoke to my belly. "I'm sorry I put stress on momma, I going to do better because I love you soooooo much already. Now Raegon has somebody to play with."
"I forgive you fat head." Drew said while hugging Dani.
"And J, I never meant to come at you like that. I am truly sorry." Dani said.
J looked at her, "You really mean that because if you really want Kya ass I promise you she can just get a teaching job out here." He said while laughing.
We all burst out laughing until Kya walked up to us. "Dani."
Dani's P.O.V💭
"Hey Kya. Look all that shit I said was out of spite. You know you're my girl and I love you so much bestie. It was just a lot of changes in my life at that moment that I didn't know how to really deal with. Yeah it was childish for not talking to you the past couple of months. I just felt betrayed, hurt, you know girl allllll that. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me." I said with my arms open for a hug.
Kya immediately hugged me back, "I love you too bestie. Don't ever pull that shit again. I never wanted to hurt you."
"You didn't. I just hurt myself."
"Huh?"
"Oh girl nothing, but congrats baby. I'm proud of you sis. I'm about to get out of here."
"You sure? You not coming out to eat with us?" Ky asked.
"Um-nah. I got a couple of things to do before heading back home, but I'm going to catch up with y'all later okay?"
Ky and Kya looked at me, but decided to let it go.
"Be safe." Drew told me.
"Most definitely."
I walked out of the stadium to my Uber I ordered. I can't believe I had a one night stand last night. But aye, it happens to the best of us. I had a lot of my mind, I didn't even think I was going to graduation. I drove back here yesterday but once I got back on campus I started having second thoughts. Then it led me to a local club, which led to me meeting this random guy who paid for all my drinks, which led to me to wake up in his bed...
Now that I have things smoothed out with my besties I think I need to finally get closure from Xavier. I'm headed out to Houston right now before I go back to Atlanta. I need to have all my relationships figured out before senior year. I don't need any distractions this last year, this is my year to get drafted into the league.
That Evening🖤
Once my Uber dropped me off at Xavier's condo, I just stood there. Honestly I don't know if I can face him. I decided to Uber to Houston, because I knew if I drove myself I would have turned around somewhere. I finally built up the courage to knock on his front door.
"Who is it?!" He yelled from the other side of the door.
I was speechless, I couldn't believe I was really here. I turnt to run, but before I could X opened the door.
"Dani?"
I stopped in my tracks. "Xavier..." I slowly turned around. "Nice to see you again."
"Nice, yeah. Surprising, hell yeah."
"Um, yeah I know. Look I'm sorry for just showing up all unexpectedly. I'll just-"
He cut me off, "No. Come in. Obviously you made your way down here for a reason no need to leave now."
I looked at him. He moved aside to let me enter. I walked slowly inside of his place. No lie, X had this place decorated beautifully. I walked to his kitchen and took a seat at the bar.
He stood by his stove, "So wassup?"
"Nothing much. Um, gradation was today and Kya graduated."
"That's great news for her, but I want to know wassup with you. Dani, nobody else but Dani."
"Honestly. I came here for closure okay. I want to go into my senior year with a clear mind."
"Okay. I broke things off due to the facts that we're in two different places in life. I understand that moving schools would have effected your role you built for yourself. Retiring would have effected everything I worked for these last few months. In a few years I may be moving again and you may be anywhere in the country playing professionally ball. I want you to have it all and if it doesn't include me then why string me along when we could just break things off."
"And the tattoo?"
"Honestly I didn't need a constant reminder Dani. I love you more than anything, but I knew having the tattoo would remind me that you are chasing your dreams that don't include my plans right now."
"And Chamile?"
He laughed, "Stripper hoe who got a train ran on her at one of my army buddies bachelor party."
"Mhm."
"Anything else?"
I shook my head in disagreement. I stood up and made my way towards the front door.
"Dani!"
I turned around to face X.
"I love you."
A few tears fell from my face, "I love you too. I wish you the best."
He grabbed me by my face and kissed me. Lord knows I've missed his kiss, touch, everything about him.
X picked me up and carried me to his bedroom.
I finally broke the kiss. "X I can't."
"Why not? You got you a new man??"
I laughed, "Boy no. I have a Uber coming to take me back to Waco."
"Fuck the Uber I'll take you back home myself." He started kissing me from my neck down.
