Dumating sa restaurant si Richard Faulkerson Jr. kung saan gaganapin ang dinner meeting nila ng kanyang mga kaibigan na kasosyo niya din sa negosyo. He was dress in a black taliored suit that hugged his body like gloves which emphasize his well toned build.
As usual late na naman ang mga kaibigan niya.
So waiter ushered him in a table for six. He sat waiting for his friends to come which he all met in his college days.
Dahil alam niya na magiging matagal ang paghihintay niya sa mga ito naisip niya na kalikutin muna ang phone niya.
Tumingin muna siya ng maari niya laruin ngunit halos lahat ng games niya sa phone ay natapos na niya, so he decided to update his Twitter and instagram. Photography is one of his passion. "i love the camera but the camera doesn't love me." yan ang madalas niya sabihin sa mga nagbalak na kunin siyang modelo noong estudyante palang siya. Hindi nakakapagtaka na ganon siya kapansinin dahil sa tangkad at sa kanyang itsura. He got the body and the looks but don't want to flaunt it so he rather stay behind the camera than be in front of it. Kaya ni isa sa mga uploads niya ay wala ka makikita na picture niya. At dahil busy siya sa negosyo ay di na niya masyado nagagawa ang hilig niya. Buti nalang at maganda na ang mga phone cameras ngayon he can take snaps of the whatever he want pero mas gusto pa rin niya ang SLR at polariod niya.
He focuses on finding a subject,one that he doesn't need to move from where he's sitting. Una niyang napag-interesan ang table set up. He compliments in his mind color dark blue silk mantel which matches ivory white plates and silver utensils and then takes snaps of it. He will later choose what's the best shot. Then in the center of the table there's three small square clear vases with one single lotus on each and at the bottom is black stones.
"I never knew this kind of lotus can grow here?"
"Excuse me sir, some drink for you while your waiting for your friends." then he pours him some wine.
"san galing yan mga lotus?if you don't mind me asking."
"Ah sir galing pa po yan ng China. Yan po ang pasalubong na hiningi nung boss namen sa kaibigan niya."
"Give my compliments to your boss. The place looks nice."
He waiter smiles at him. "Salamat po sir. Makakarating po sa kanya yan. Sigurado. Sige po." then the waiter went on to the next table.
He also went on what he was doing. He takes snaps of the lotus. When he is taking the last shot for it his phone camera accidentally focus on the girl on the next table at the exact moment he press the girl smiles. As a photographer he can tell that the camera adores her. Her smile is captivating along will her long wavy hair that compliments her filipino features. She stands out even if she got a fair skin. She doesn't need to make any effort for anyone notice her. But all his liking about her vanished when he overheard the lady's convertion with the man she's with.
The man took out a checkbook and after writing on it give to the girl. "Date was really great." says the man and reach for her hand "I really enjoy it. You make me the happiest man then."
"No ka ba? It's my job. To make the date work and to make you happy." says the angelic voice. "Dahil I make you the happiest man aba dapat yata my bonus ako." and then the two of them laugh.
"Don't worry you'll be reciving your bonus soon. Katulad nalang ba ng dati?" tumango lang ang babae.
"oh sige antayin ko nalang sa bahay ung bonus ko huh. Wag mo din kalimutan irecomend ako sa mga kakilala mo huh?"
"Oo na. Irerekominda kita sa kanila. Sa galing mo yang dapat malaman nila ang existence mo." sabay na naman natawa ang dalawa.
"sige na Maine. I'll go ahead." he kisses her on the cheeks then leave after.
'grabe! Ibang klase din tong babae na to. Mukha naman siyang edukada at mayaman. Why is she selling her self like that?!' sabi ni Richard sa isip niya. Hinayang na hinayang siya sa mga taong ganito. Marami pang marangal na trabaho.napabuntong hinanga na lamang siya.
"hay! Sana nag-model nalang siya" puno ng panghihinayang niyang bigkas.
